Our commuter 2017 Ford Escape left my wife stranded for the 3rd time in the last year a few night back, so I’m looking to trade it in once it’s fixed. Luckily its still under extended warranty for 1 more week, so the fix should be covered.

The dealer I’m calling tomorrow has a 2001 Sequoia SR5 that I’m going to take a look at with 245,000 miles. They’re asking for a little under $5,000. I’ll check it for rust on the frame and would get everything checked out by a reputable shop if interested in purchasing. I’m just looking for feedback on these and if there is anything I should be looking for?

Timing belt water pump hx and if seals were done with them. Run the vin for frequency of oil changes. Manifolds. Ball joints. But it’s idling and the CEL, VSC and VSC trac lights are all lit. I would want the codes before I made the trip

Thanks! I’ll check those and see about the codes.
