    Good morning.
I am a three week owner of a 2000 tundra. This will not be my daily driver I purchased it to be a rough ol work truck, but I just rides so darn welll it’s hard not to drive. Which of course means I m developing a need to fix it up. I have a lot to do, started with the Asian kit, lots of compound and polish, and plasti dipped all the faded trim and chrome. Now I need to do a little to the inside. My seats have a few cig burns from the po so I a. Looking at seat covers. I love the rugged looks of the car Hart’s but I am having a hard time w the cost. Does anyone have them? If so are you happy w the purchase? Any other covers u guys highly suggest? W Black Friday around the corner does anyone know of a seller who runs iOS deals on accessories? Beyond seat covers my next purchase will be 5100,s. Is there any reason to wait on bf to buy this stuff? Thanks for all the knowledge and enthusiasm. I have followed this forum for a couple of weeks and I am amazed at the amount of activity here.

My seat cover was just delivered yesterday. Cover king at auto anything BLACK22. You just have to wait for the best pricing on all the other accessories. I shop at Amazon most of the time.

If you look on AutoAnything, they have flash sales every couple of days (different seat cover manufacturers). I bought my CoverKings NeoSupreme covers for $144 for the fronts only. Happy with the quality so far but the shipping/delivery kept getting delayed and took 5 weeks. I have a conspiracy that companies jack up prices right before BF so the costs are not actually any lower...........

Both of my Tundra trucks wear Wet Okole seat covers, they are well worth the money and very comfortable.

On my T100 I got the coverkings through Costco and I was happy with them. Fit well and lasted through lots of kid abuse.

I know exactly what you mean. Same boat here. Didn't buy it to fix up, was just going to use it as my beater truck.....but it was so nice to drive, even at 320,00K that now I'm fixing everything on it step by step.

I hated seat covers until I bought a used car that came with cover king. I thought I would rip them out but I gave them a week and found them nice.

The wet okale are really nice as well, a bit higher priced. If I didnt plan to swap my seats I would go with those.

I’m a seat cover hater now. Used to have them on earlier vehicles due to loving them so much at the time. Last set of sheep skins I had I transferred over into my current Tundra where they served nicely till about 2011. Maybe this is why my cloth seats still look so good now?

I’ve looked at these Wet Okie Dokies and they seem nice with the added lumber and heated options.

That wetsuit material feel, though. Had a friend with them and they are nice, but something about that texture and swamp ass.

Might go back to sheeps. Might not. Weighing options now.

Heated coils under the seat combo’d with sheeps? Lots of work. Pass!

Cover king neo supreme. I love the comfort and protection. The blue matches Buellah pretty nicely.

A bit of a conundrum, here. I've always liked Wet Okole, and those Coverkings look amazing as well, but I have leather seats. On the one hand I do want a set of these covers so as to protect the leather, but then why have the leather if you are only going to cover it (not that I had a choice when buying used). I like the feel of leather and I hate that a lot of those fabric seats come with that extra bonus of swamp ass that Fred alluded to.

Then the real issue surfaces - matching the interior color scheme of the truck - light tan (camel?) and the faux wood trim accent pieces. I've entertained the idea of vinyl wrapping the faux wood pieces with a color to match the seats, but what color works/complements the camel tan color of the majority of the interior not counting the medium brown caramel color of the dash board? Need an artist with a deep feel for color coordinating/design to advise me, or...find a fabric spray paint/dye for the interior side walls and carpet besides black, or ALL black interior, to include dash and faux wood trim pieces, steering wheel and...I am already tired just thinking about the effort required to DIY.

I'll probably keep this idea shelved until the leather goes bad. Maybe by then there will be other options regarding spray on color technology and colors offered. Then again, I am sometimes the sucker for a great idea/deal presented well. Case in point, my Tundra. I wasn't shopping Tundras when I bought it from a car dealer that my family knew well and trusted, and only sold "cherries". No, I was looking for either a late model F250 Ford diesel 4x4 or a late model Tacoma 4x4. As I checked out his Ford diesels (he had no Tacomas) I noticed the Tundra and knew it was for me. Ten minutes later I had shaved $2000 off his asking price in a cash deal and wanted to take it home, a possible trouble spot, as I didn't have my checkbook with me and only about $20 in cash. No problemo, as I was given the truck to take home - all papers signed and transfer of title made - and my spouse would bring a check by the next morning, driving the Ford Expedition we bought from them the year before. The Tundra was the great deal and she presented herself very well to me, so I drove home with something I had never considered until the moment I saw her. I've never regretted the purchase, even when finding out the MPG's sucked.

Anyhow, seat covers on the back burner for now, otherwise it would in fact be either a Wet Okole or Coverking dueling for my dollar.

I'm going to definitely look at seat covers for my 1st gen. I do have leather but I know myself and there's been times that in the heat of the battle I just jump in with mud and whatever else has attached itself to me, without regard to getting said filth all over the interior.. I love the leather interior but I know myself all too well. And of course there is always the errant screwdriver, razor knife etc. in the back pocket..:frusty:

Guilty having a knife/screw driver in back pocket. Was lucky enough did not poke a hole in my '16 leather seats. But a lot of B pillar scratches .

I like mine - was concerned they would slide around, but they do not. stay in place pretty well.
Actually thought about getting two more for the back seat, just havent done it yet.

I have the coverkings. They are pretty nice, but I actually just took mine off and threw them in the garage last night. They are comfortable, and don't slide around and did a nice job protecting the seats, but when I was cleaning the inside of my truck last night, I realized how bad they faded and looked like crap. They will have been on my truck exactly 2 years next week, so decent life span but they did fade pretty bad. I may spring for another set, but we'll see......

I will say the drive to work this morning I could definitely tell in comfort and temperature without them on their......

CoverKing is warm. I might get a replacement for it for the summer.

Wet Okole currently has a Black Friday sale 15% off till Nov 30th. I might pick up a set for my 03. Has anyone tried the heater option they offer?

No, but it looks smartly designed where if a wire or connection goes bad it allows the heater to work around it. Some other designs out there would make the unit lose total usefulness and go into the trash bin.

But they’re still like $280 for the front seats if you get them heated. I’m not sure I wanna spend that on heated covers. I’ve got the cheap $25 Costco covers with some heated pads from Amazon for like $40 so I’m still cheap all said and done

I'm really considering the black spacer mesh by I think coverking. Carid has them for about $100 per row. If I add another $30 per row I can get old glory on the headrests. Too bad they don't have a Gadsden flag or Betsy Ross option.

Costco had a sale on these and I bought them only to realize they seemed very fragile and ‘mesh’ material that they would rip to easily. That and the needed to have completely separate seat back and bottom to keep the middle of the Seats ‘L’ shape secured which wouldn’t work for my seats even though they were custom made. I just returned them and stuck with my cheap ones.

Interesting. I thought they looked fragile also, but a member on here if I recall said they were nice. I think it was @Swalters maybe?

I used them for a few years and my kids are very rough on things. They are two piece, but fit mine just fine. That was was my old T100 so the Tundra's could be different.

Hi, I like my Cover Kings. A year of abuse and they still look new. I haven't taken a recent picture but this was day of install. They just aren't stuff anymore.
