We had a quick snow storm a couple of weeks ago and I was not impressed with the Pathfinder A/T's (discount tire house brand) that were on my truck when I bought it. They are almost brand new (still have chalk lines down them) but the truck was not grabbing worth a crap. I was in four wheel drive and even at slow turns with the wheel cranked, it was tracking straight without giving it throttle to straighten it out. Granite, it was slick and there were multiple wrecks that morning but I was not impressed. I've been looking at possibly upgrading my tires anyways and ran across these, Thunderer M/T R408 Mud Terrains. Here is some pics on Toyota's for reference:

For $520 shipped, they are attractive. I have been reading reviews and have really not found anything bad about them other than a few odd ball stories. I know they say M/T's aren't ideal for snow but lots of people are reporting back that they do great and have no issues. I also like how aggressive they look.

    A few reviews:

A few things I am concerned with:
I have ran cheaper M/T's before (Atturo M/T's) and they were horrid. They were so damn loud, I sounded like an 18 wheeler coming down the freeway at 80mph when I was only going 30mph. They also rode pretty bad and took a lot of weight to balance. From what I have read, most people have said these are quiet and that they balanced out really well. Anyone has expereince with these tires? From what I have found, a few guys on TacomaWorld are running them with good results and some other various forums. I hate being the guinea pig so I thought I would check here first...
