Just swapped the stock bump stops for the timbren ses ones. Suppose to help with squatting with weight in the bed or tongue weight. The first few inches of travel are unaffected then it gets progressively stiffer similar to air bags but without the air. Only takes 3x 12mm bolts that can be accessed with the wheel still on the truck for removal. Here’s a few pics of what it looks like. My Tundra model is a 2023 SR model 2wd for reference.

    What’s wrong with stock?
How is the ride after install? Wondering what the daily drive is like.

Basically the same unless you hit a giant bump you can feel it but for most of the time you can’t since there is a gap between the axle and the rubber part of it.

They do not effect the ride unloaded.

just got mine today - will install tomorrow. Not looking to do more than manage the squat and stop the springs from being taken flat. Had similar on my Taco and they worked without flaw. Some will say no no no. Ignore and enjoy the security of protecting your suspension. Congratulations.

This is interesting, keep us posted on your experience with these please!

I considered getting these as well for my Tundra but so far decided to get OME heavy duty rear coils instead as I have a camper shell with constant load and believe that the stock coils are just too soft for me. I haven't installed HD coils yet and will report when do.

I did install the Timbrens on my Nissan nv200 work van and it helped a lot to improve the ride as the van is always loaded with tools, and made it more stable on the turns! Love Timbrens on my van

Edited to agree with and support what ^^^ said

they only effect the ride as the load is progressively increased to stop and reduce suspension stress. They don't touch or impact the frame for resistance until the loading or bounce results in progressive resistance.

I am also interested in a longish term review. On my last half ton truck (F150) I ran the sumo springs. They were GREAT towing, but very stiff unloaded. There was .5-1" of travel before engagement. The engagement was hardly noticeable, but the instantaneous feel of 1 ton esque spring rate killed the ride quality.

I don't know if I should just do airlift bags or the timbrens for hauling the new boat.

I took mine out after trying the softer rubbers. I originally got the stiff ones. I have them out at the moment. The unloaded ride is affected with the sharp jolt when the rubber contacts the axle. Even with the softer rubber, it is still noticeable.

However, now that I have added 1" spacers to the rear, I will try them again as I have increased the gap to well over an inch between the rubber and axle. Now, I shouldn't feel the little bumps now but the larger ones will be noticeable for sure.

no - just adding a buffer to reduce squat from tongue load of camper. Working fine. Level load with the trailer and no harsh ride when there is nothing in the bed and no trailer. No harsh ride when on bumpy roads or going over speed bumps.

Screenshot_20240905-141747_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20240905-141813_Gallery.jpg Just thought I'd chime in. Installed Timbren SES for camper hauling and reducing squat when I've got the bed loaded. Unfortunately I didnt measure squat at the wheel wells before and after.

Heres some before and after pics with 1100 lbs of gravel in the truck. Much nicer ride with them installed and less body roll.
I will update with before and after pics of the camper which has a 800lb tongue weight.

I just watched a YT video on these. They look to do what my old RAS system did on my Excursion.

Any downside discovered by those who have them?

I will be hauling a 27’ travel trailer that has about 950# of tongue weight at the moment I would get about 3 1/2” of squat without WDH bars. With was 2 3/4”. I would like to be no more than 2”. I was thinking about airbags. They have pluses and minuses. Air pressure changes from loaded to unloaded is my minus factor. The video I watched also states they are warranted for life with a 30 day money back guarantee. I really like this idea to basically not change my normal ride.

I have a unique set of the Timbren's. I ordered a set and when I put them in, I found the ride was a bit harsh. I had about 3/4" gap. I reached out to Timbren and they sent me another set of rubbers (softer), I put them on and the ride was smoother.

Then I raised up the rear by adding a Westcott 1" spacer and this really helped out the loaded situation and improved the ride overall.

All I have left from that experience is the Timbren's (the Tundra has gone down the road)! My new truck doesn't need any help with squat so I have listed the Timbren's on my local Craigslist.

Are you stating you no longer have the Tundra and are selling the Timbrens? With the softer rubbers? If so, what are you looking to get from them?

Hi Mike, Yes, Tundra was traded in for a Z71, I have the Both sets of rubber and have them up on Craigslist as part of my blow out sale! Probably a PM would be better as to not detract from this thread.
