Running 295-65r20 nitto trail grapplers on my 2017 tundra, it’s lifted (not sure of size) and tires are rubbing body mount pretty bad at about 75% lock. What can I do about this that’s most cost effective and also if I run 285-65r20 vs the 295 will it fix the problem? Thanks 00D339FE-94B9-456D-970F-B67DB98D295E.jpgDE9BDE4D-B6C7-428A-8043-358B43B061F0.jpg

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Not sure what's best in your case but some have notched out the fender where the rubbing occurred. If you're rubbing at 75%, I don't think a 10 mm width difference would matter.

Hmmm okay. I may be wrong but I wouldn’t think notching this part of the frame would to very doable? Not all that educated on these things tho

It looks to me like it's the fender liner (not metal) that's doing the rubbing, not the metal part. But I could easily be wrong about that.

FIRST I would bring it to a truck alignment shop and see if they can adjust the caster

    ONLY and I MEAN ONLY

if that does not work would I consider a CMC.

I have the same wheels and tire size and they were able to fix the rub with an alignment. If you have spacers....lose them too

That makes sense. What size lift do you have? And how much of a difference does that make? Also it would be sooo much worse without the wheel spacers so why do you say lose them?

If you have wheel spacers those can make the rubbing worse so if you have them....lose them (take them off) (get rid of them) (throw them in the garbage)

Take your truck to a truck alignment specialist....

Okay, I get what you mean but from what I can see the spacers are pushing the rim and tire outward and it’s rubbing deep inside the fender well in the back so I feel like without them it would be worse.

Get an alignment done and have them increase the Caster, this will push the tire forward and eliminate your rubbing problem. I have 295 70 18s on mine with a 3 and 1 lift and I don't even come close to rubbing anywhere and had the alignment guy give me all the castor he could with the stock UCA.

The offset is stamped on the back of the wheel, usually on one of the spokes. It will say ET 60 for example.

    A lot going on here..
Mud flaps still on? 3 inch lift....maybe some nice aftermarket UCA's with built in 3 degree caster or adjustable SPC's. . CMC too possibly. No rubbing on the front?

The further out your wheels are, the bigger the arc your wheels will turn. Losing the spacers will help.

Got some bumper shims by Toytec, best thing I ever bought for my 35" Tires on 20"s with -24 offset. They push your bumper out 1/2".

Still not sure what to do lol I believe that possibly an alignment, trimming the body mount and getting smaller tires are all viable options and have no idea which direction to go lol

Did you ever figure out what your wheel specs are as far as offset? I think you mentioned you had wheel spacers on the hubs as well? Your wheels have a pretty aggressive offset, so either removing spacers or getting smaller ones would be the easiest and best solution, as @joonbug already stated. An alignment should get you off the body mount a little more, but you're fighting a lot of bad physics with your setup.
