I have a 2" suspension lift in the front 1" in the rear. Looking to stuff 35"s in there now with minimal to no modification, which I know is possible. I just don't know which tire size makes the most sense...help! Please and thank you.

    285/75r18, 35x12.50R18, 295/70r18, or 305/70r/18? I know 295/70r/18 won't be a true 35".

I'm assuming you're upsizing (overall diameter-wise) from the 265/60/20 stockers on your 1794?
Stock tires are SL (standard load) rated and are relatively light by comparison to a higher load range tire.

    Questions you need to answer:
Do you haul or tow? A lot?
    Offroad? A lot?
Either or both of those things could (but not necessarily) push you into a higher load range tire. Most common is E load.

Of the sizes you listed, the only one I'm sure about that is available in an SL would be the 295/70/18.
Not too many choices in SL when you get over 33" tall.

I'm likely throwing on 18x8.5 wheels and would like to upsize the tires from OEM diameter. I tow a small boat during the summer (~3 months in the PNW), and it's not uncommon for me to be in the dirt and mud, but mostly logging trails. I got plenty of use out of my 10 ply k02s on my Tacoma. Wouldn't mind something lighter, but I'm not too worried about MPG because I'm a hybrid worker.

I have the same setup, 2 inch lift in front, 1 in rear. I run the stock OR wheels (+60) offset and 285/75-18. Is a great fit. The 285s are taller than 35x1250s but thinner and much lighter, so MPG and performance will be better than with the heavier tire. Lots of good tire options in that size too.

Eibach setup, the 2.0 assembled, threaded adjustable coilover from 0-2.75inch and matching rear shocks. And then RAS in the rear. Coilovers are set at 2 inch lift out of the box, so like a TRD Pro, no UCA change needed.

I agree with this. I just put in new 285/75R18 but on stock 18x8 +60 offset. I really wanted to keep them inside the wheel wells. I run these same tires on 17x9 on a different truck I think 9” would be better. I might swap up. But I hate excess poke. Biggest difference, I have no lift. I think I have to trim the factory skid plate, slight rub. But I’m completely happy

Tires are Nokian Outpost AT. That tire however has just been replaced with an updated version, Outpost Nat. They have been the best all around AT tire Ive ever run.

Weight on the Nokian Outpost is showing they're only 45 lbs. per tire, for E rated, is that correct?

I think 295/70/18 is the perfect combo of size and minimal modification. Currently I have 285/75/18 and they are just a tad too tall. I have rubbing on the mud flaps which are rockblokz so I don’t care much but without them you’d be in the body mount. When I had my 295/70/18 all I needed was an .5” bumper spacer from coach builder and push the liners forward. Only reason I got the 285’s is I got the set for $100 off a friend. First picture is 295/70/18 nitto ridge grappler second is 285/75/18 wild peaks.

What makes you feel they are too tall, when you removed the mud flaps, did you have any rub? Thinking of going with this setup, Nokian 285/75/18.

I only see W tires in that size.

also, thanks for posting this question. I’ve been wondering the same thing for a couple of weeks now.

So I don’t have the factory mud flaps i have rockblokz which are a hard like 1/4” thick plastic so very big tire friendly. When I had the 295’s they would just ever so lightly take the dust off the flap in a small spot. The 285’s are an inch taller which you can’t notice it definitely rubs a lot more. I also never got to try the 285’s with the factory bumper since I hit a deer and got a Cbi bumper but I feel like I would have had more rubbing issues there as well. With the 295’s and that bumper spacer I had just one rub if I would be in reverse and turn the wheel a certain way. This is on +35mm wheels too so take that into account.

That makes more sense, I'd be putting them on a +60 so that should help.

Yup I think the only thing you need to watch for is rubbing the upper control arm and potentially the skid plate depending on what you have.

RCI plate. See how it does with the UCA, hopeful for no problems in that size other than flap removal.

I have 285/75 Kenda RTs (measure a true 35) on 18x9 +18 offset BFDs. Looks good, but they do rub my rockblokz a bit as well. I kinda prefer the wider tire look. If I did it over I’d go a hair wider and a hair shorter I think, either 295/70, 35x12.50, or 305/65 - 305/70. Many love the 285/75 look though. upload_2025-1-12_13-58-43.jpg

That seems low, if I recall I think my version 285/75-18 was 54/55....the new Nat version is a couple lbs more. Have to be wary about weights posted on tire seller websites. When I was researching weight, I went to the nokian website. They have a pdf with actual specs- load rating, height, width, weight.

Here is the newest version https://nokiantyres.studio.crasman....s/pricelists/May_2024_ProductGuide_US_web.pdf

It shows the current outpost Nat at 58.4 lbs, which is still lighter than many others. Again, my tires are the earlier gen Outpost, model before Nat, and came in at like 55lbs.
