I am pondering the size for new tires and would love some sound input.

Im currently on TOYO R/T Trail 285/75/17 and leveled but will be upgrading shocks in the next few months and will be at 2" - 2.5" front. She is a daily driver.

Im planning going with Toyo AT3 or BFG KO3 and here are the sizes- keep in mind I'm on stock gears and don't see regearing anytime soon.

    Toyo AT3
    285/75/17 (33.9/ 11.3) 60 pounds
    305/70/17 (33.9/ 12.2) 64 ponds
    35 x 12.5R17 (34.5 x 12.5) 65 pounds

    BFG KO3
    285/75/17 (33.8/ 11.3) 63.6
    305/70/17 (33.9/12.2) 68.3 pounds!

The BFG are Raised White Letter - Is there black letters on the opposite side of the tire?
    That's about it.
    Thanks

    Consider cooper at3?
I like bfg and had good luck with them, but am glad I recently switched out to Coopers.
    White letters out is great!
Some depends on your wheel offset. You can clear 33s easily on leveled.
Check out wheel n tire section or search your specific tire size. Lots of info in wheel n tire section, including fitment.
BFG is a heavy tire. I like it, but damn they heavy. I'm a daily driver on lots of highway, so the Coopers work well for me

I'll be shopping for tires here in a few months...

    Currently have Nitto Ridge Grapplers: 285/75/17 (33.8/11.25) E rated - 61lbs

As of right now I'm leaning towards:
    • Yokohama Geolandar A/T4: 285/75/17 (34.1/11.3) E rated - 59lbs
    • Falken Wildpeak A/T4: 285/75/17 (34.1/11.6) E rated - 67lbs
Truck is a weekend warrior, and I tow with it, so I need the E rated.

I've never ran Toyo's but have had balance issues with the KO2's on my 4R (need them balanced about every 4/6mos it seems) and have read the KO3's aren't much better so they're out.

Best tires I ever had were Mickey T's Deegan 38's but those have been discontinued, and MT doesn't offer a 285/75/17 anymore.

Thanks. I will look into Coopers and Falkens. Yoko tires are great from what I hear but I prefer a more aggressive sidewall. Ive had Nittos and MT ATZs - they were great but also replaced by the Baja Boss.
