    Greetings y'all,

Just under 6k miles on my 2019 Tundra and I took a screw in one of my tires (Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 275/55R20). Both Wal-Mart and dealership said it was too close to sidewall to repair, so I bit the bullet and bought a new tire. I noticed that my valve stem cap is now missing, and this bothers me. I happened upon some Toyota branded ones on Amazon, that would look good with my wheels. Has anyone ever used these or something like it? There are also some that are zinc alloy that claim to be corrosion free. The original caps appear to be steel, but I've read that steel caps can have corrosion issues that affect the TPMS sensors, so I thought I'd run it by my fellow enthusiasts.

Have not heard that. I have steel on Tundra and had them on both Tacomas and no problems. Sensor is inside wheel so not sure how a corroded cap on outside would affect it. I would make the installer buy you a new set

I guess the problem is more that they easily get stuck on, and the sensors are damaged in the removal process.
