    Hello Tundars,
I'm looking to get a hard bed cover for my 2011 Toyota Tundra crewmax 4.6l v8. Don't wanna pay for name but the quality. Bak filp hard covers. Undercover flex Tonneau covers? Something that's strong, durable and especially SECURITY reasons. Any info would be appreciated

    Thanks,

Since this has sat without replies for a bit I'll throw my $.02 in. Most any covers except for that meta diamond plate 1 piece thing are going to be not super secure.

    I was decided on this:
    https://www.autoanything.com/tonneau-covers/extang-encore-tonneau-cover

The front access, and the fact that you couldn't cut it with a knife was something that I really wanted.
And this dudes review pretty much sold me on it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=17eDpH1NGv4

But, the two reasons thatchanged ''my" mind (other people prob wouldn't) I started reading that they have drain channels and tubes because they are hard to deal so the catch and reroute water...and living in ND and parking outside, it wasn't something I wanted to deal with them freezing up. When we get freeze thaw cycles

Also, I use my truck to haul stuff taller than the bed sides often, and removing it each time to set it somewhere would drive me crazy.

I went with the Gator G2 vinyl roll up. https://gatorcovers.com/p/gator-sr2-premium-roll-up-tonneau-cover/

Basic, affordable, made in USA, and I'm very happy with my decision.

    Good luck!

    personal plow, tool box,
I actually want a soft cover. I know I’m hijacking this post but I don’t really need the extra security. I just need water resistant so my shotgun isn’t getting rained on directly. It’s in the case anyway but heavy rain directly on the case can get through. Do the soft covers keep the rain off?

Check out the Rugged Cover 2 tri fold. I absolutely love mine.

DiamondBack Hd or an Sd if you don’t want the extra capacity. By far the most secure, functional and best looking tonneau cover imo. Just installed one last week and couldn’t be happier. Not cheap but worth it. I opted for the line x coated one.

Yeah I get a small amount of water maybe a 1/2 cup in the corners in a long hard day of rain, or car wash?

Otherwise I love mine. If it's raining a lot I keep my gear/soft cases more toward the center. There are cheaper made in China ones, but I like my Gator. I think it's made by Undercover (South Dakota)

I just bought a gator as well! Going to install it today. I got the SRX model. A little cheaper but it has awesome reviews. I had the Truxedo roll up on my f150 and it let a little water in on the corners if it rained pretty good, but never enough to make it a big deal. If I’m keeping stuff in the bed of my truck usually it’s not the end of the world if it gets a little wet.

Quick update on the diamondback hd. It poured here last night. First time since I installed the cover. Not a drop in the bed. I’m telling you. Even though it’s more money, this thing is the most secure, weatherproof, and aesthetically pleasing tonneau cover you can get.
