Tried to search to see if this has been discussed, but when you include lift and camper all you get is discussions on saggy back-end syndrome.

I'm still patiently waiting on my RLD camper shell... In the meantime, I'm building it out in my mind. Has anyone used one of these lift mechanisms? The only one I'm aware of is from a company called "TopperLift" - https://topperezlift.com/

Help me brainstorm! What are the downsides? Things I haven't thought of?
    • I'll lose a little space from the mechanism, NBD
    • Contractor vs. weekender? I like the idea of keeping the bed of the truck as a work surface, but then again, how nice would it be to have even more inside space for changing clothes, etc.? Also the weekender comes with more camper features, while contractor is more tool-centric.
    • Anything else?

Kinda like it myself, doing a DIY custom soft topper here. So I might just incorporate something similar and have two different covers for both cab high and an extended version. Thanks for the idea!
