Torn CV Boot Repair?

    Came across this video for CV boot tear repairing, which I know tends to be something on our first gens after lifts. What’s your opinion? Basically wax/grease remover, silicone binder and holding in place for a couple days with duct tape till fully bonded.

    I'm not going to even consider fucking with a boot repair. Another member did the high angle boots and said it was a miserable job.

    Also, I have no idea how long mine has been torn so there's no telling how much dirt has made it in there. I'm going to replace both and call it a day. I'll likely get rid of that needle bearing while I'm at it.

    I’ve sewn them together with dental floss and a sewing needle. I’ve also used tiny zip ties. Then sealed them up as he described. And as I recall, the repairs held on inner boots, but not outer boots.

    I’ve also tried those split boots that you screw together, with zero success.
