I installed a set of rear Torque brand airbags this afternoon. When I finished I filled them each up with 60lbs and took measurements from the center hub to the fender. I also took readings in each one using a two different tire gauges. Immediately after filling them the pressure measurements went down a lot and there was a wide variance. I filled with 60 lbs and a minute later it read 45 lbs. I checked for leaks all over using a soap solution and found none. I even checked the fill chucks thinking maybe it was a stem. If it was leaking that much then my fender measurements would have gone down quick.

I cannot figure out the difference in pressure readings other than fill nozzles are just not great and not getting a good seal with the tire gauges. It has been an hour and the fender measurements are still the same. I will measure again in the morning to check. On tire gauge was the old stick type and the other was a dial type.

Do you have them plumbed independently? I do, and whenever I fill one bag to say, 40 psi, then I fill the other bag to 40 psi, the pressure in the first bag decreases as load is taken off of it when inflating the second bag. That’s normal. So I usually over inflate the first bag, then drop pressure after I fill the second. Is that the situation you are describing?

Yes they are independent. I suppose that makes sense as I was thinking pressure should be the same. It is pressure from the bag trying to push out the line though so if you lighten that it is less. I was so dam tired when I finished I couldn't think straight. Thanks for helping with another duh on my part.
