Tow Mirror Install

I have a 2023 Toyota Tundra SR5 that I added tow mirrors to, but the blinker and/or marker light on the back of the mirrors anrnt illuminating. Does anyone know if you can reprogram something to enable that light feature, like you can on a ford, through forscan.

 

Following. Did you you do this yourself? My SR5 needs tow mirrors.

 

Did you wire the factory buttons to it as well? If you don't use both buttons they won't work properly

What if I just wanted the marker lights on the back

 

Find the wire that powers the marker lights. Pull power directly from the running lights wires under the hood. Might be more splicing then you want but it'll do it.

 

What good would they be unable to extend? And leaving them extended would be a disaster. Can you share a pic please? I’d like to see them. Thx

When I was installing the auto start/stop disable I saw the wiring harness for the tow mirror buttons. I wonder if the limiteds are pre wired for the tow mirrors in the doors too? I like the tow mirrors, but they are crazy expensive.

 

No, with this being an SR5 and coming originally with the smaller mirrors, it doesn’t have any buttons for the mirrors. The only thing I’m interested in is having the marker lights on the back and blinkers

 

I think what he’s asking about is the wiring, not the buttons. All of the buttons on the panel most certainly do have pre-wiring but the big question is where does it terminate.

 

These mirrors are great to have the BSM are key & the side lights when backing up really light up your surroundings, this is definitely well worth cash for an add on when purchasing the 3rd gen.

Does anyone know the ‘code’ for tow mirrors? E.g. WS = heated steering wheel.

Are they always packaged with BSM?

It’s not filter able in the allocation sheet.

Big harness for those mirrors. 10 or more functions. Curious if all the extra wiring is even in a standard Limited & above with the usual remote, memory, fold, defrost, turn sig, BSM?

 

Maybe I missed it, what tow mirrors are they? They do not have the pvm camera, did Toyota make a set without it? If they are factory, what are the part numbers for them? I just purchased a set if the ECCPP Tow mirrors for my 23 Limited Tundra, not liking the manual fold. They look like factory minus the camera, electric fold or electric extend.

 

Did those mirrors plug right in what functions the reverse lights and the signals I wanted a set but not sure if they will work for that I don’t mind the manual extend and fold
