So picked up some tow mirrors they appear to be trail ridge brand with BSM. So everything works but the bsm I don't have any dash warning and it acts like it's working but the light on the mirror doesn't come on. So here's the crazy thing, the outside parking light on the mirror is acting like the bsm light. It turns on when someone is next to me and flashes when I turn on my signal, but can't see it from the drivers seat. My wife saw it driving next to me and took a video to show me. So could it have been wired incorrectly and could I open it up and fix it myself? I contacted trail ridge about it but didn't buy them new so probably won't help me out but shall see.

Hello Matt. I just got the trail ridge two mirrors today. My BSM lights (in the corner of the mirror) come on when ever the the parking lights or headlights are on. And Im getting an error on my dash to contact dealer regarding BSM. I will research the correct pins And let you know what i find. I also need to figure out the power fold option. I bought an oem Toyota switch with he power fold button. But it doesn't work either. Not a lot to figure out, but very time consuming.

I was able to fix it just had to swap around 2 pins to get it to work. Mine are the non power folding type.

Yeah mine are just the turn signal, side markers, heated and BSM ones.

So have to release the Retaining bar then I used a safety pin, Push it in the upper small square/rectangle slot. It goes in relatively far then you can pull the wire out easily.

Thanks a million mat. I will give it a shot tomorrow night after work. Hopefully I can figure out the wires. Many are pinned wrong from what I've seen.

I know for BSM light pins it's swap 9 and 18. I have the oem wire diagram for the BSM system if you need it

Any chance you can post the pic of diagram? How do you like the mirrors otherwise? Any shake?

I would prefer the stock mirrors but the tow ones came with the truck. They do have alittle shake to them but not to bad.

Got my BSM working by swapping pin 9 and 18 on each mirror. Thanks Mat. Also figured out the power fold , side marker and puddle light pins. Just have to run wires now. The upper mirrors do have a little shake as Mat said. The lowers do not. I believe the glass is shaking in the frame. I don't think it's he entire mirror. Will have to experiment once completed.

I have my oem regular mirrors for cheap $ if anyone is interested. Power, heated, BSM. Chrome. thanks all

maybe silly question, but are you swapping the pins in the trucks mirror harness or in the new tow mirrors harness you’re going to install?

You can do either one. It's been a while ago since I did it so I can't exactly remember if I did the mirror side or truck side, i want to say i did the truck side. Either way it's the same process.

@Rsolano87 make things easier on your future self and leave the truck harness alone incase you change mirrors again.
