    Exactly
Only way to make them think you’re not a predator is to stink as bad as they do.

When you live somewhere where people can't drive on ice and snow..
They can barely drive in the rain..

@Outbound shakes his head in disgust..:p

That’s fucking offensive. Like Casey said, it appears to be Twix and right ones at that. Those aren’t even the good Twix.

It was weird, yesterday majority of folks actually drove sensibly with the poor conditions. I was on the highway with posted speed of 65 (normally folks go 75+) and on average we were all going 40-45. I was able to get to and from work without issue.

Now today, I'm not leaving the house but haven't seen many vehicles on the road in my neighborhood. Definitely plenty of folks on the roads but I'm happy to be in an area that seems to be learning to hunker down

I drove around Terrell yesterday a little.
    It wasn't bad..
My wife was working from home and I just wanted out of the house for bit.
She actually left to go to work Monday morning at 7, but only moved a mile in 30 minutes so she came back home.
She's home today, when the DISD closes, the firm closes and they work from home.
I doubt she'll go in tomorrow, maybe not Thursday..
I hope I bought enough beer yesterday to make it through this..:D

These people had all weekend to get groceries to prepare for this.
But yesterday the local Kroger had lines down the aisles to check out..
The Brookshires in Terrell was busy, but no long lines..

Nearly 2 times as many people live in the area on that map (DFW metroplex, 9280sq miles) than live in my entire province (Alberta, 255,500sq miles).

    I can see why it's a nightmare...

Oh, no my good friend. It's not the population. It's the (in)competence of the population. There's an ice storm at least once every three years in N.TX; but do people either a) learn to drive on ice or 2: stay the fv(k at home? Nooooooo... They barrel down a neighborhood street at 40mph whether or not it's full of kids trying to sled, or move swiftly to the (dry) left lane of the freeway and also go 40mph. They have to go to the movies, out to dinner, or take their dog to the groomer, ice be damned; even though we're going to be dry and warm by Friday. For every idiot that lives in Texas, there are 200 more.

My favorite are the 4 ft tall guys in their super lifted trucks with giant tires barreling down the freeway in 4WD thinking that it's gonna give them more traction if/when they hit the ice.

Well, that and the general lack of freedom...

Makes a guy wonder if there's a market in cold weather preparedness training. Something like a weekend course in winter driving, winter tire selection, vehicle maintenance, what to keep in your vehicle and basic winter survival for if you do hit the ditch.

Me and @Cpl_Punishment could be hired as consultants and flown down before and after winter storms. We could really lean into the Canadian stereotypes to increase the marketability.

"Ok eh, listen here you hosers. Let's say you run outta darts eh. So you go out for a rip to get some but it's snowing like a bugger eh. You don't see the moose in the laneway so you take a header into the ditch. That sucks eh? So yeah, first thing you do is tap into your emergency stash of beer eh. Remember, it's in the pickup bed to stay cold eh? Slug that back then put on your parka and toque eh. Hold tight and get drunk while you wait for help you hoser, don't nothin' stupid like walk barefoot in shorts through a snowstorm eh."

I have made a very important decision that I thought I should share.

I have decided to drink way too many beers tonight just for the fuck of it.
