Didn't say I'd want to be young today. Said I agree with missing kindergarten. Basically, I miss the '90s, before "today's world" came about. Now I just pray for the meteor/plague/flood to put an end to the absurd and insane things that are going on. The invented problems of spoiled first world idiots and the fact that they are prevalent in such numbers as to allow for the easy manipulation of things to the point that evil can be portrayed as acceptable or beneficial... I'm very torn. On the one hand I know that I have missed out on experiences and growth as a person by not being a father, but holy shit would I not want to inflict this world and it's mess on someone else.

 

My son said something along the same lines about having kids. I told him raising children to become strong, independent, and morally sound is the job and that's gives them the opportunity to fix the mess.
Happy to say my grandson is 7 and they are talking about having more.

 

I agree and I'm glad you get to be a good grandpa and raised good kids. With a proper support system and family I can see it being very rewarding. I can't offer that. My family is dysfunctional as fuck and I'm no peach either. I think I'm too selfish to have kids.

 

maybe the plague will be a ways out.

can't we just distribute this and let things work themselves out?
