    Hello,

Is there a cross-reference where I can enter a Toyota part number and get the size of the bolt required? The part I need is 90080-11180 but I haven't been able to find the size. I don't have an example of the bolt that I can take to the hardware store to match.

I can also find a bolt that fits the welded-on nut but I think finding a cross-reference would be handy.

    Thanks.

I'm just looking for a way to make this task more difficult.:) The $10 shipping cost on $6.00 of bolts is something I'd prefer to avoid.

If I also ordered the hoist from Toyota I'd be paying a $40 premium vs. getting this stuff at Amazon and the hardware store. That's a higher premium than I'd prefer...for now.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm always open to good ideas.

@jimf909 You need a spare tire hoist? TBH i havnt looked at how it comes off but mine is rust free and never to be used again. In Portland though

^^^ I do need one. Suggestions here on how to remove it include removing the bed! You can slip a ratchet and socket with extension between the bed and the top of the bolt to remove it although it may need some PB Blaster to free up the bolts. I appreciate the consideration but I'll probably order one today. Thanks.

Thanks. I'm guessing M8 x 1.25. I just need to get out and look more closely.

I may pull a nearby bolt of the approximate size to confirm.

I just wish there was a handy cross-reference to answer all these questions but I know that'd need to be a gigantic database and there are production changes that would make it unreliable. It's probably best to get a bolt that fits.o_O

Check the build link in my signature.
I'm (very slowly) working on one for the wiring connectors and terminal pins. It would be handy to have one for the nuts and bolts too.

For this application (spare tire hoist) it's an M8x1.25. I got 'em in 20mm and 16mm lengths. The 16mm length may be long enough to thread into the nut w/out leaving a lot exposed to rust. Regardless, this will go together with neverseize and a coat of fluid film.

    Thanks everyone.

No worries. Bed comes off easy enough, I just had mine off when I painted will probably pull to do fuel pump and remove this before too long if thats the easiest way to pull it.

After installing the new hoist I can confirm that the M8x1.25x16mm bolt is a hoot fit. Naturally, the 20mm length will also work.
