Toyota shutting down production after cyber attack

I just read Toyota is shutting down some facilities (in Japan) due to a cyber attack.
I wonder if this have any effect on delays for those of us waiting on a Tundra
They claim North America not effected

Ugh, first the waste gate issue, and now this!!!!

 

tldr; the cyber attack was on a parts supplier, not toyota directly.

 

Just a dark cloud passing over. This shows the potential problems with the on time delivery of parts and materials for manufacturing.
I thought Toyota moved away from this business model after the last major earthquake when supply lines were disrupted. One reason the old and outdated gen 2.5 Tundra was able to be produced through the pandemic shortages.

 

Am I the only nerd who noticed the name of the company hacked is "Kojima"? MGS fans should know the significance of this.

 

Am I the only one that knows this didn't affect US production, just Japan - which is mainly Lexus vehicles for us

 

this only lasted 1 day and only affected production of about 13k vehicles.
