Great truck and a great rack that I now have modified to fit a 2002 Ranger

Love those old little Toyotas, so simple they are perfect

 

My grievance with the blue one is that it doesn't have A/C. My uncle put A/C in his 1991 pickup that did not originally have it with relative ease. Another thing that annoys me about any Toyota pickup older than 2020 is that base models don't have intermittent wipers. My 2010 Taco didn't originally have intermittent wipers and I had to put it in; I have no idea if T-100s had them standard, but I do believe that base model Tundras didn't have intermittent wipers standard until 2014...

Cool to find this thread, always love to share my stuff.

I currently own 3 Toyota trucks, my Tundra (obviously), a '98 T100, and a '94 2WD pickup.

The pickup has a great story. My grandfather bought this truck in '97. It was his go to little work truck. Hauling hay, hay equipment, out fuel trailer, and whatever else he couldn't get in his little Rav4. After he quit driving a manual due to his lack of flexibility, he sold it to my dad. In the next decade, it taught me and my brother how to drive. I drove it to school the first day I had my license, and my brother drove it most of his high school career. My dad gave it to him as a graduation present. He then started modding it, with just about every (attempt to) go fast part you can think of for the 22RE. He kept it all the way up until COVID hit. At that point, he couldn't afford to license and insure it, so he sold it to his best friend. That's where things went sideways with it. He put on a ridiculous lowering kit, that was so low in the rear that he couldn't reinstall the bump stops, and on anything more than a dip the exhaust gets smashed. I'm in the process of removing that. He sold the truck back to me in November of 2021, and I've been slowly fixing his hackery since.



I've had the T100 for 16 years, prior to my Tundra it was my DD/Tow truck. I hauled hundreds of tons of scrap with this truck. It is now in the process of getting solid axle swapped, with so much done to it it would take a while to list it out. But the basics are a supercharged 3.4 with URD 7th injector and 2.1 pulley, SAS with a Dana 44 from a mid 70's GM 3/4 ton, 4.88's front and rear, a detroit locker in the front, and a harrop elocker in the rear. I'm currently acquiring parts to dual case it after I shake it down on the SAS.

First weekend with it, down in Farmington, NM where I went to college.

Saw this Hilux in Iceland, These appear very well built and diesel powered as well. This one looks brand new.

I am not too sure what the payload on the Hilux, and that camper must be super light weight.

 

Saw this little gem in Nanortalik, Greenland.

First thing I would do is start a long thread on how to change the grille to a Heritage grille

Most of the vehicles are diesel in all the places we travelled, If not diesel, they would be hybrids or electric. Our rental car in Ireland was a newer Ford Focus diesel and it was not stinky at all.
