    Ok...

I ordered at tundra what was going to be delivered in early may in time for the Specials... (Toyota promotions)...

Then they told me they pushed back my trucks production date to may 22nd, but the truck would be delivered just before June so I would be ok.

I got a call today from the Dealer telling me they moved my trucks production date back to June 27th!!

    ARRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!

My dealership told me expect august for delivery.

Summer is not bad ...maybe there will be more promos. Typically promos get better and better as we start migrating to the 2021 models.

What I am curious though is...with the delays, will the new trucks made in the summer become 2021 versions?

Well I’ll tell you what waiting until next year becomes an idea...

Right now I have a MGM Limited Double Cab TRD w/ premium package on order, with about 4 Grand worth of parts sitting here waiting on the truck.
Toyota did add Zero Percent financing for 60 months (offer good to June 1... not so great for a trunk made June 26 or 27th)

I empathize with the workers who might be having a COVID thing, but this one sounds like it’s just slowing down the production numbers because demand is down... So I really don’t have any alternative but to wait ... none of the dealers here have one dressed the way I want it.

Tell you what - at least they could change The offers to “when you order ... vs. when delivered” and 90% of my frustration would be gone.

It’s the finance department that holds the to “delivered” = offer...
But right now there is no way you can get a truck you ordered / delivered because they are delaying it... so why do I have to roll the dice - if I wanted that I’d be buying that Ford and seeing if they fixed the oil burning problem on the V8.

I hadn’t thought about that either.... I guess I didn’t read that post clearly enough.

If my truck delivery date pushes back again into July is could actually be a 2021 build...

Well that sucks...I was just looking at the dealership where I bought mine and he sold 5 more Tundras in a three week span. He had 8 on the lot the day I test drive mine and now he only has 2. These things seem to be selling like hot cakes...

My theory about falling car prices may not hold if new car production is pulling back, dealer inventory will get sparse and they won’t negotiate as much.

Well the dealer didn’t have the truck I wanted 3 months ago so I had to order it...

Mostly because Toyota took features off the Tundra Limited package that used to be there in 2018... why the limited doesn’t match the platinum wiring harness I have no idea... if it did I could have used any limited and just had done add on’s.

No I gotchya brother. To spend that much money and not get what you want is not a smart move in my opinion. I got super lucky when I picked up mine because they pretty much had exactly what I wanted on the lot. It had a few extras that I really didn’t care about, like the black emblem overlays. I don’t mind chrome as much as most people here but in all honesty it’s has grown on me.

I ordered my truck in November and agreed to a price based on the November incentives then paid that price when my truck arrived at the end of December. But I didn't check what the December incentives were. Anyway, my point is it should theoretically be possible to get the current incentives if your dealership is reasonable.
