Just did a Toytec 2.5 coilover up front, with the Icon RXT pack in the rear and Toytec 2.0’s in the rear. Toytec states these shocks are good for a 1-3” lift but the pic below is what I’m looking at after installing the leafs and then trying to install the shocks.

I lifted the axle to mount the shock but I’m guessing this isn’t good. Thoughts?

Kinda what I’m guessing, but I called Toytec and talked to their technical team and they said it was normal and not to worry.

Did you already pull the shock to full droop?

after setting the truck on the ground. I lifted the rear axle to the shock, mounted it and set it back on the ground. Been driving like that for 2 weeks now. What started me guessing this, is I only have about 1/2” of rake from front to rear. Front set at 2.5” and the rear pack setup at 1.75”.

my measurements after the lift are 25.5” up front and 26” in the rear. Center of hub to fender.

That all sounds pretty close to what you should get - what exactly is your question now?

Edit: did you get an alignment done on the front? I guess that does seem a little high up there, but the rear measurements are pretty close to what you'd expect.

Just making sure the shocks in the rear are okay as is or do I need to look into longer shocks? Are they a “limiting strap” for the rear suspension?

Well your rears are already within the 1-3” of lift range so I highly doubt you’d need to go anywhere crazy as far as adding limit straps to your rear.

What is the application for your truck? Unless if you’re running washes and bombing through dunes, then limit straps would be something you’d look into.

nothing crazy at all. I’ve installed other lifts and haven’t had the shock reach the bottom and top mount. I was worried that the rear leafs would extend (down travel) past what the shock could handle. Turning the shock into a limiting strap for the suspension so to speak.
