I have been the original ATEQ QuickSet on my 4Runner and it is such an awesome tool when swapping wheels for winter/summer. Once TPMS sensor data is loaded into the tool, one button to load summer rims and one button to load winter rims. Simple as that.

I tried the tool on my Tundra and no dice. Will not read the codes from the truck via OBD connector. Updated software etc hoping that was it but no go.

Have a message in with ATEQ on their newer Quickset X to see if that will work on the Tundra and will report back.

In the mean time, has anyone else used a TPMS tool to download/load wheel sensor info?

    Cheers!

On my 2010 I had my TPMS winter/summer wheel IDs programmed into the TPMS module with techstream. On my 2020, (you need the correct TPMS sensors) you just push a button per instructions in the manual the the truck learns the new TPMS sensors. You have to drive around a bit and the tire pressures show up. This was for the 2020 trim levels with the push button start. I would think the 2022 would have the push button learn for the new set of wheels (with compatible TPMS Sensors).

Check your manual for the tpms learn activation procedure to see if it has it. But note, you will likely need not just any tpms sensors, but ones compatible with your tpms module.

    Good Luck

On a clear day, I can see Seattle from my house.

On the 2022 Tundra, the Owners Manual tells you how to register TPMS sensors.
The truck registers them automatically for you and figures which sensor is in which wheel.
My Ram does the same. As rebmo indicated, so long as you use 2022 Tundra OEM TPMS sensors, just drive it around following the procedure in the manual.

Awesome. Thanks. Will try that this week after I get the new wheels setup with the sensors I got at the dealer.

What about the spare? i bought a replacement full size spare and installed and mounted a new oem tpms sensor. i went thru the ‘identifying’ process per the manual but it doesn’t show the spare after having completed the process. I’ve seen other screen shots of a spare tire showing with psi reading on their screen. Thanks -Aaron

I would think there has to be a fifth sensor there to pick up the tpms at spare location. If it’s not available on capstone model then it’s not gonna be on your limited. Need to check with capstone owner and see if they have it

It is irritating, you can see the spot for the 5th tire but you cannot add a 5th ID as it is now. I do not know how to add that one ID. The Utility starts and sees it is a 4 tire system but does not allow you to change to a 5 tire count
