    Hello everyone,

I'm new here. Came from the Tacoma World, but just bought a Tundra.

I recently installed Dobinsons C59-841V rear springs in my 2023 Tundra. The spring specs are 2" Rear Lift, Stock Weight, 0-110 lbs. I will rarely carry heavy weight in the bed but I will tow a trailer once or twice a week (I'm running Icons up front with 3" of lift. I like a slight rake.)

Anyway, due to the added 2" of rear lift, the rear axle has shifted to the left about 3/8". Can anyone tell me if this going to impede ride quality or suspension performance? Is the geometry of components going to be stressed over time?

A few companies sell track bar relocation kits or adjustable track bars. I'm not sure when these items should be employed on suspension lifts. Any advice is appreciated.

This is the same setup I had on my '93 LandCruiser and I put an adjustable padhard and it set the ride track. Having said that you are paying Peter to pay Paul. With the longer bar that has been adjusted, when you stuff the tires that geometry has now changed. I liked the panhard rod adjustment better because of the tracking on the road. I had no issues stuffing the 37's into the wheel well so I was good. I never drove it long after I put on the 6" lift so I cannot comment on the tire wear but looking at the geometry of vehicles, why do they design vehicles with the tires all lined up perfectly? :monocle:

I did the exact same thing on my 95 80 series Land Cruiser. The adjustable rod made it possible to fine tune it so I could perfect center it. Works great.

is there a solution available for the panhard rod relocation? or is an adjustable panhard rod good enough?

You want a relocation bracket, and preferably one on the axle vs on the frame, because it improves roll center.

if you don’t flatten the bar, the axle will shift when you hit bumps and cause the rear to do weird things

The bracket I linked bolts to the axle. Hopefully it angles look good. If so, I may just sell my Dobinsons bar.

I wonder why trd didn’t include any panhard relocation in their 3” lift kit

The TRD lift kit would be more money with a pan hard bar and it’s already too expensive.

i mean TRD sure went to town on the front suspension, with revised front knuckle, longer tie rod ends etc.
so seeing how comprehensive they were, i'm thinking they would've included a rear panhard correction if they felt it was needed

Probably because the two options would be a weld on solution, which they would never do, or a bolt on solution. I suspect the bolt on solution might be tough the way the bracket on the axle is designed. The pocket is not very deep nor offers many places to bolt to. The bolt on correction bracket for the Lexus GX/4Runner that Dr. KDSS makes has 3 bolts in it securing it to the stock mount:

    GX460 panhard correction.jpg

For what you get, I dont think the price is all that bad. You basically replace the entire front end of the truck.

That DR.KDSS bracket will be releasing soon for our Tundra's in a few weeks and will also be applicable to the Sequoia since it sits on the same platform.

In Canada the TRD lift as it is now costs close to $10,000 after install and it’s just not worth that much money so if it had more parts then the price would go up more. The guys in the states that have the lift would you pay 10k for it?

I mean I would probably install it myself and save the $2000 in labor or whatever they charge. But it looks like the lift alone is ~$2450 on some of the part sites here in the US. That to me is completely reasonable. A nice set of aftermarket upper control arms cost damn near $1000 alone.

I have the TRD lift. Had some rubbing, so picked up some 1” spacers. It wasn’t until I installed the spacers that I could see how pronounced the axle shift is. So I definitely want to adjust it. My OCD won’t let me run it like this.

I’m also wondering why Toyota wouldn’t include this.

Don’t know if you can tell from these pics, but this shows the shift…way more poke on the drivers side:

    IMG_1030.jpg IMG_1031.jpg

edit: I wasn’t thinking that I still had the truck lifted when I took those pictures. When I lowered it down, it evened out. It is still slightly shifted, but not nearly as bad.

I’m just saying you can buy better 3rd party lifts for 10k

In America yes and that’s what I’m pointing out the price difference.

This just got in the mail. I ship everything to work to bypass the wife. Lol.

I’ll be back at the office on Monday. I’ll snap some pics and provide info then.

I also reached out to DrKdss as well and was told the tundra is 4-6 weeks out. Their bracket looks way stronger and look forward to that bracket and curious about cost.

I haven’t received my Dobinsons setup yet, so will install everything at once.

Reviving this old thread. Any updates on this? I have a lift kit coming and wondering if I should order the correction kit or the track bar?

I installed mine today. Pretty easy. I have 2866 OME springs with some spacers as I load a lot when I go off road. The bar is basically level now as it sits unloaded.

I am also watching my 35” spare I have as well for clearance when it cycles.

My friend let me have a 17 inch Lexus rim and it is a 315 7017 tire. Basically a bronco tire. I have 37 inch Toyos on right now so the 35 at least gets me closer than the 31.6 inch spare.

Do you happen to know your overall lift? Reason I ask - I just installed Dobinsons C59-835V with their IMS Long Travel shocks IMS59-60887 and I got ~ 2.75" of lift so I am wondering if I should go with the B.O.T.C.K shorty or the standard height? They recommend shorty for 2-3" lift but looking at the photos of your setup - you are running top bolt on the standard height! And it seems just right?
