Time to retire my rusty old receiver hitch and get a new one for my '24 Tundra. I was looking at Bulletproof Hitches that are powdercoated steel vs chrome. I pretty much leave mine on full time most of the year (MN weather). How do the PC steel hold up for rust and appearance overall? Any feedback is appreciated.

I live in Illinois where salt is used a lot. Salt has no effect on powder coat like it does chrome and will hold up a LOT longer. You can probably find one a lot cheaper in price locally. They are all the same.

Powder coated, chrome will be rusty pretty fast where I live.

I have seen PC hold up a lot better, especially from good brands. My WDH hitch is holding right now. That said, they all go to hell pretty quick in salt water or salt roads. So I try to buy PC, spray down and hit with a similar color spray paint when they start chipping.

Unless its my $20 stingers.... those just get rusted to high hell and replaced because I forget one when I need it randomly. I think I have 4-5 now laying around the property.

Be aware the PC thickness uniformity can very. I've had to remove some to the unit to slide in.

Yea, that reads like a personal problem -

Look at the Flash brand on etrailer. Billet aluminum and look great. I went with 6" drop for my mowing trailer.
