When I got this truck, the output shaft seals on the TC were leaking. I finally got the time to pull it out and fix it.

When I opened the case, I found some small thing metal pieces. I wasn't able to identify them, and neither could 2 other Toyota parts departments.

Everything in the Diagrams was accounted for and I've been using the truck without issue for about 500 miles since it was put back together so fingers crossed.

This solenoid lock plate (pic below) had a tired spring that would bind up a little moving in and out since it had more opposing force on one side than the other. You can see that it appears to be brazed. I thought this was some redneck repair job but the replacement part from Toyota was the same way.

Another interesting bit is that this plate, part number 352850C010 only cost $1.50. I don't see how or why, but that's what I was charged in the order..

The previous owner had been into this case already though, he must've used a cheap rebuild kit because all the bearings were Chinese. I bought all new bearings from Toyota and replaced them as well. It was a fairly simple job and I'm glad it's done. It took about an hour to pull out and an hour to put back in. Plus a few hours replacing the bearings and seals. more pics are below.

Hey bro, how tough was it do do bearings and seals? Special tools required besides snap ring pliers and a press? Debating swapping in something used, or rebuilding myself.
