I need a new wallet - I prefer a metal slim front pocket one. I tried a cheap one from Amazon but it was crap. I almost pulled the trigger on a Ridge and then decided $100+ was too much for what it can carry. Then I looked at Trayvax - originally at a $30.00 one. Made the mistake of reading the reviews and a dude said he was going to pass his $30.00 one down to his son and buy a $130.00 Trayvax Contour. So I looked at that... and really like it. It's metal with some leather and looks really well thought out. I figure my wife has quite a few $200+ purses, I maybe could splurge on a wallet. Or maybe I should just carry one of her purses...:angrygirl:
I don't know. Anybody have any experience with a Trayvax Contour Wallet? The fact that they give a vet discount and are made in the USA is a definite plus.

That thing looks like a bit of a hot mess. I chose the Ascent and have been very happy with it.

How many cards are you able to fit in it? Being a disabled vet, I have a couple of extra id cards I have to carry around (otherwise I'll forget about them) with me...

Ive been considering using one of these slim wallets for daily use then leaving my big wallet with just all the prescription/auto insurance type cards in the truck

I have 5 1/2. 1 CC and my CDL in the front (the CDL is thin), and four cards in the back with up to 5 bills in the rear slot.

There are apps to store cards on your phone. One I use is called Stocard, and it stores photos of each card and a barcode, if applicable. This technology relieves the need to carry membership cards, etc. for the most part.

Trayvax are great , and customer service is exceptional. I got their original one that had the velcro, didn’t last 6 months before it started to come apart. They gave me a full refund and I went with this. The clip holds cash or checks securely. :D

If you aren't a first responder, active, or a vet, you can use "CARRYON" to get 10% back and if you sign up for their newsletter, they'll send you one of their cheaper wallets when you place an order.

I have carried the trayvax armored summit now for over 3 years. I carry 6 cards in mine, but you can expand the strap.

+1 on the Ascent. I have the original Summit and while it's ultra minimalist, it's kind of boring. The Ascent has just the right amount of metal and leather and just plain looks and feels good. I carry 5 cards in mine with some cash.

Alrighty, I went ahead and ordered the Element because it's supposed to hold up to 10 cards and the more I thought about it, I liked having the leather covering everything. Thank you everybody for your responses. I really appreciate it.element-raw-steel-grey-1_600x.jpg .

I have the Element and Contour. I prefer the Contour because it's about half the weight, smaller footprint and you can access the money clip/storage area without opening up the wallet.
The only thing I preferred about the Element was the bottle opener was easier to use.
The Element isn't very forgiving if you decide to carry more or less cars like the Contour is.

I have a contour and love it. Very well built and durable. I’ll take a pic of my colors combo later. Also you can get writing engraved in leather for a small fee.

I bought a Ridge wallet for $60 bucks and have had it for over a year now and still love it. It is easy to find 10-15% coupons on it. Unless you have money to burn i wouldn't spend the money on titanium or carbon. The coating on my Aluminum has held up great for wear and tear. If you carry cash often i would go with a money clip. My only gripe with the Ridge is the elastic band is tight for the first couple months..
Not what you asked, but Ridge wallets can be found cheaper than the price you listed.

Love this wallet. I probably have given 15 away as b'day and Christmas gifts. It only gets better with age. Follow the instructions about soaking it water to break it in. Also figure out how many cards you want to carry cause you can't go back.

I like mine, only carries 6 cards but I only take 4. Ordered a cheap cash clip off Amazon and it’s been great.

Look at a Saddleback front pocket wallet. I've had mine for 10+ years. No gimmicks, just quality leather and stitching.

Ive had 3 different Trayvax wallets over the last 6-7 years. By far my favorite is the Element of those i have tried..the bottle opener on it is a plus too. No experience with the contour though.
