    I’m having a hard time finding aftermarket big brake kits that would fit my Cement 17 TRD Pro, or at least even regular aftermarket brake kits. Living in Western NY rusted out my rotors, calipers and cylinders. With parts and labor Toyota OEM is at over $3200 and if I’m going to drop that much money I might as well upgrade to something else. Anyone have any info or help on this area?

    I think powerstop makes one but its just a brake kit not BBK.
    Or stoptech. Not sure which one

    I bought Frozen rotors and EBC yellow stuff brake pads From dirty deeds for like $1100 from Keith at dirty deeds industries. I’m a fan. Better than stock for sure. But not bigger than OEM just better quality feels like it stops better. That’s for both front and rear. Hit up Keith.

    I checked out brembo but they have the GT2 kit for the Tundra but it’s also $4700 I believe for the kit alone plus you got to do some custom fab to fit them too.

    I believe you need 20” rims to fit any big brake kit on our trucks. 17s and 18s is a no go. That’s why I went the frozen rotors route. I wanted bigger brakes since I have 37s but with 18s I had no choice.

    I looked into this also cause I don't feel like the brakes are all that great. Basically came down to no options unless you have 20" wheels

    I’m VERY hard on brakes & for my last TRD pro I used 2 sets of Centric coated slotted front rotors & used Hawk Black Super Duty Pads. It was a great setup. All from tirerack.com

    I have the BBK on my 17' and no issues other than your wheel choice must have the room! OEM wheel fit with 3/16" clearance.
    If I were to buy anything else it would be the Stoptech BBK ( they actually made TRD BBK and make both a front and rear option of their own). Brembo is the most expensive, but you get what you pay for.

    They work fantastic!
    The pad dust is a bit more than stock too.
    And make sure you brake them in properly, the break-in is very important to avoid having any shudder or hot spots on the rotors.

    If you read the specs, any of the true Big brake kits have up to 380mm rotors and require 20" rims minimally. Some 20" rims do not even fit. Anything 18" WILL NOT FIT for a true BBK. TRD or aftermarket. There are "upgraded" kits that the 18" wheel fits, but they are not bigger.

    Rotors, pads and calipers aren’t hard to do in your driveway. Just did mine. Got powerstop rotors and pads for around $350. I also live in NY and my rear calipers were rusted bad too, so I replaced them with oem at $115 a piece. Fronts are $155 I think. So $540 for all Oem calipers and $350 for rotors/pads, probably less if you get local parts store brand. 1 bottle of brake fluid and you are way under $3200 for about 3-4 hours of your time.

    I was told 17' was the last year it was available from TRD when I purchased them, there was however some discrepancy with it not being listed in one place, but listed as available in another. I chose to go for it, and there were no issues whatsoever with the install. (Done at my dealership).

    Yes, You need balanced braking. But also tires play a MASSIVE factor into any vehicles braking. Im extremely hard on my brakes & With the Cryo treated rotors & Hawk pads, it was plenty of braking for me.
