I’d expect quality craftsmanship. Trail Hunters is a forum member here, I’m going to pull the trigger for a set. Nice find.

Sweet! I’ve pulled the trigger already. Truck is in the shop currently for some paint to match mustache then I’ll be going to College Town to visit MTI for my sub box install.

    thanks for the MTI recommendation!

Can't tell in the picture, but is there a gasket in the Trailhunter plugs? Doesn't take long for terminal pins to corrode and damage the marker lights.

Hey guys. It's me Andrew. I'm the one that created that plug design. Been super busy with work lately and haven't been able to do much truck stuff lately.

I know it's not OEM, but that was my best attempt at recreating a simple plug and play solution without having to cut or modify other existing plugs. It comes with pressure tight pigtail holes on the plugs and o-ring gasket inside to protect from weather.

If you guys want more context. I posted a few development photos of my CAD drawings in this thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/trd-pro-wheel-well-camo-trim.111271/page-22#post-3213376

I did take some photos of my wiring diagram, but since it doesn't have a huge power draw I just tapped all 4 markers into one 5amp fuse slot that was open on the passenger side fuse box. I think it was a towing light related fuse slot. I'm planning on writing up an article soon.

Thanks to @ryanwgregg for helping me with the design since he had OEM connectors.

I'm not near my truck to take another photo of the fuse slot, but here's what I did.
I got some Wago connectors (love these things) to act as a hub for each light. Lives inside the fuse box so its weather protected. From there simply just wire to each corner. Picture is of the passenger side fuse box.

Does the oem grille marker lights use the same plug? If so can you make a five connector package.

Couldn't I t-tap the wires from the flares to the headlights and taillights?

Yes. Many do. But some (me included) don’t want to mess with the factory wiring in case of warranty issues or easy to remove if you don’t want them anymore / change them.

I ordered my grille and fenders today. What grade wire are you guys using? And any suggestion for wire loom?

How'd you route the wire from the rear to the front to look clean?

If you don't have CANBUS based headlights/tail lights you tie into the wire looms specific to the light. No need to run wires from the rear to the front, etc.

I have premium lights. Also don’t want to tap into the harness. Was planning to add them all via add a fuse.

What about an add-a-fuse tapped into fog lights? (10amp fuse labeled ‘LED BEAM’). I’m personally learning electrical as I go but would that be a good option? That way you have some control over when lights are on or not? Does anyone know if trucks with lights that came stock are just automatically on no matter what?

Have not heard of anyone doing that. But I would think that if your fogs turn off (Ie high beams on) they’d turn off.

Oem they’re on when parking lights are on. That’s why some tap into headlights. Add a fuse to an accessory fuse is the easiest way for them to run whenever the truck is on.

Interesting. Is there a fuse to tap into with the add-a-fuse or would it need to be T-tapped into the wire in that case? What about a spare fuse location? (appreciate any input!) What are most of y'all doing?

There is an empty fuse. Many posts in this thread will show it!

then run the ground to the ground bolt on the inside of the passenger fender just in front of the fuse box and air filter housing.
