Good Day 3rd Gen Brain Trust,

I am ordering the OEM TRD Heritage Grill part #53101-0C220 for my 2025 Tundra Platinum TRD sport with 3in Lift. My question is, Does this part/grill come with the T O Y O T A lettering installed on it? Or do I have to order those letters as well? I am having Dealership instal and want to make sure all parts are in place when I take delivery of my 2025 Platinum TRD Sport. I also ordered from Westcott the Front Camera Relocation Bracket for the new OEM TRD Heritage Grill. Thank you, all and any input on how to properly have the dealership instal this Grill and the S8 Baja Designs Light Bar with Rave OEM type switches to operate light bar is appreciated.

    Yes, it has the lettering.

Will the dealership install an aftermarket light bar?

What about marker lights or are you leaving those blank?

Thank You....I do not want the marker lights, and I will be talking to the dealership about it shortly.

Just an FYI, ther will be 3 open 1x3" holes in the top of the grille where the markers go. I'll try to find a pic unless you don't care. I personally thought it looked funny without them

You can add the marker lights later, without pulling the grill. You'll just have to loosen the shutters & squeeze your arm in there.

Not sure but I don't think the Heritage grill comes with the bracket needed to mount the Baja light bar. I think you may need those support bars.
This thread has some good info.

The Diode Dynamic one does have the bracket check if Baja has it as well

Do you have to have TRD pro Tundra in order to order TRD Pro grill? Mine is 2025 Platinum non TRD model and I am interested to install TRD Pro grill

You'll need a T6 Torx screw driver to remove the front camera from the old bracket to the new one.

I have a 25' Platinum. I ordered the TRD Heritage Grill (Part # 531010C220) from a dealer. Make sure you also order the Westcott Designs Front Camera Relocation Bracket as well. I am happy with the results!

but will they ask your VIN#? I am from Canada and here they ask for VIN and evidence that you have TRD Pro to order TRD Pro parts otherwise they will reject the order and the system will not allow them to proceed. I know it is weird.

I wonder if US dealership will allow Canadians to order TRD pro parts

nice! Why you didn’t order the OEM TRD Pro light bar?
Rave also sells TRD pro grill as a kit which comes with the light bar, marker lights, and camera mount. May I know why you didn’t order the kit from Rave? Is it cheaper to order from dealership?

    Because it is CANBUS.

The OEM lightbar is controlled via CANBUS. This means it is very difficult, if not impossible, to control it if the truck didn't come with it from the factory. This is why everyone who installs the heritage grille installs an aftermarket lightbar so it can be controlled with a standard switch.

About Rave, their harnesses seem good but the consensus is that their hard parts (grilles, lights, etc) seem to be poorly-made. Classic example of "you get what you pay for."

    ahh okay I understood now.

Rave also sells OEM grill and marker lights. I was just curious why not getting the OEM kit from Rave instead from Toyota directly. Is there an advantage? Is it cheaper from Toyota?

Rave has a pretty big mark up on their OEM parts. Of course, if that’s the only way you can get the OEM parts then it is what it is. I am in the middle of this process too. I am using a real OEM light switch and also replacing the brushed chrome pieces and the fog light bezel with OEM painted parts from OEMpaintedparts.com

Okay thank you. I wonder if US Toyota dealerships are willing to install TRD Pro grill to my Canadian Tundra if I am too lazy to DIY. Or would they only assist US Tundra.

Maybe. Depends on the dealer. Most dealers probably don’t want to install parts on a truck that aren’t meant for that truck. For example you will need a camera relocation bracket which is non OEM. Also, as mentioned before, if you want a light bar installed it will be non OEM as well as the marker lights, even though the marker light assembly is OEM, the electrical connection is non OEM. I would think a private shop might be more willing to do the installation

The light bar RAVE sells is junk...its a china unit that doesnt compare to the Baja Designs bar at all. Even the OEM bar is a joke...light is aimed to work with your high beam and the pattern is not ideal, nor is the angle adjustable. Youre better off with a Baja Designs or even a any other brand other than those OEM knockoffs.

The BD kit will cost you more than the grille and markers though, but its worth it...wouldnt run anything else.

I kinda like the stock lightbar for what it is....it doesn't project down the road much but it does light up the sides pretty nicely like ditch lights.

I preferred the Toyota OEM Grill ($210 discounted on their website) and I wanted the nicer light bar from Baja Designs (20inch S8). I did use the Rave OEM type switch to turn it on and off.

This is the way to go. Buy the TRD Pro grill (Ebay, dealer, other) and get the Baja Design or Diode Dynamics 20" light bar to mount in the slot. You get a better light AND can control with a stock looking switch you can mount in one of the empty switch locations lower left of the steering wheel. Pair that with Diode Dynamics Fog Lights and Baja or DD ditch lights, and you can turn Night into Day! Lol

Letters are not available separately from the grille.
