How difficult is to send the trd pro shocks off for service? I just bought the wheels and the shocks. The shocks have about 19k miles.

Curious why you think they need serviced with only 19k on them?

While on the topic, does anyone have any tips for installing the rear shocks? (To compress them for easier install)

Did you get your suspension and wheels installed? Did you do everything yourself?

I used a floor jack and a small hand pry bar to line it up.

If you are asking me, I took it to my local shop, they charged me $225 to install the shocks and $70 for an alignment. I don't have a garage, it was definitely worth it letting those guys install the shocks.

$225? Is that just for one side? Or all 4? That’s extremely cheap install price.

Yea that was for front and back = $225

I give them alot of business, so they tend to treat me rather fair.

Wonder if anyone on the forum has sent them for rebuild and has an experience? I'm using a set off road and plan to send them in early next year for rebuild.

When yours need rebuilt it will only take a couple weeks,, but now it might be a couple months?? A good thing to do would be to call the shop and ask them???? :)

I'm having this issue with my shocks. Ive got 43K miles on my Pro so i'm hoping Toyota will replace the cover under warranty so dirt stops getting inside and the squeaks stop. I greased it good but its a temporary fix with a broken cover.
