Keep in mind I have very little idea what I am posting about. HaHa.

So the TRD Sport has the front suspension lowered? How is that done, and would it be an easy adjustment to put it back to where the TRD off road is? Supposedly, the truck only sits 1/2 inch lower so it might not matter, but I wondered if its easy to adjust the suspension back to where it is not lowered?

I was actually wandering this as well when I picked up my TRD sport.

From what I found. Everything is the same except for the strut assembly itself. I'm not sure if the strut is shorter or if the spring is different.

I see Icon stage 1 suspension which reuses the OEM spring and top mount, it shows that the you'll get less of a lift for TRD sport model. I'm guessing the spring is the culprit for the lower front end.

The trd sport does sit a bit lower. I believe the spring a slightly shorter and it definitely has a different shock than the off road.

If your using an aftermarket coilover it doesn’t matter, you’ll end up at the same height on the sport as the off road.

If your reusing your factory strut you will be 1/2” +/- lower than an off road with the same lift / spacer.

Anyone know if the TRD Sport rear springs are actually shorter than standard suspension? I see the articles that say 1/2” but I wonder if anyone here has measured. I’d like to lower the rear just a bit.

I guess I'll have to wait for TRD or the aftermarket to come up with something. I will check on the price of a new rear spring from the dealer so I can use it to design a new shorter spring with the same spring rate and have it made. It's not a straight single diameter spring with the ends flattened so that may make it difficult to get a pair made for anything close to a decent price.

You can look for take offs from the TRD OR models in the market place or online, that might be the least expensive option

Can anyone measure their sport for me- particularly the rear. Just installed my 1” Cornfed rear spacer and didn’t get the 1” of lift. Called cornfed and they are as confused as me. I was 23 1/2” and 23 3/4” center of hub to fender prior to install. Front coils went on prior and I re measured. I did gain 2 1/2” up front with the 2” front coils, which makes sense because the sport is lower. I’m probably going to remove and check again but someone measuring would ease my mind.

I'm having RC 1.75" front and Cornfed 1" rear installed on My TRD Sport tomorrow. Center of hub to fender is about 23" rear and 20 3/4" front now. I will measure after and see.

Looks like they're whole site is down atm

But I used them to lower my Tundra. Also for the big brake kit on my previous Tacoma

I installed RC 1.75 in front (center hub to fender went from 20 3/4" to 22 1/2") and Cornfed 1" rear (went from 23" [I only measured 1 side before] to 23 1/2" and 23 3/4") so probably less than a full inch of lift from the rear cornfed. Before/after pic above (Sorry it is not a great pic...).

It looks good with the RC spacer and cornfed rear. Any plans for tires upgrade, although it doesn't look bad/or too small currently for the lift

My last tires were Yokohama Geolandar A/T X which were great except for horrible wet traction on pavement. I was about to get these 275/65R20 TOYO Open Country A/Ts and at the last minute decided to try the Michelin LTX A/T2 in the same size (34.2 in diameter, I think,-still looks small on the Tundra...). I am > 95% on road with a 20 mile interstate commute to work every day and so far these have been quiet, smooth, and great traction on wet pavement. I do wish they were more aggressive looking.IMG_6699.jpg

Do you know if that lowering kit fits the 2023 Tundra Limited TRD Off road package without air suspension?
