I just recently had my windshield replaced. I went to lock my car via the fob and it wouldn’t work. I attempted to lock it internally and it would immediately unlock. I can only lock my truck via the key on the outside of the truck. I later found that the compass is staying on at all times on the mirror, I can turn my windshield wipers on without a key in the ignition and my windows can roll down without a key in the ignition as well.

I believe the installer may have inadvertently touched the two wires together for the windshield wiper warming area on the windshield during installation, causing a short.

As far as I can tell, it appears that the truck believes the key is in the ignition still. Any suggestions on how I can fix the issue? Relays etc?

Take your Tundra back to the installer and explain what's going on. They messed up.

I have. They have been trying to trouble shoot for about a month now. Trying to determine an option so they can get it fixed. Hoping someone can help narrow down the issue so they can help get it addressed.

I’d be looking very closely at all the wiring to the mirror, including up into the headliner. A short between batt +12V and switched +12V is most likely the issue, and the Homelink mirror with compass and garage door opener buttons has both in the harness, unlike the wiper warmer.

If all wiring looks good, unplug the mirror and see if the other issues go away, or not.

I would let the windshield installer know that I am taking the truck to a Toyota dealership for them to troubleshoot/correct and to expect a bill for the fix.
