Truckbed Rack Over Factory Installed Cover

Hello, new to the forum. Looking to hear if anyone has come across a Truckbed rack that can be installed over the factory installed cover. I have searched a couple threads but haven’t seen any solutions. I have the 22 Limited 4x4 TRD Crewcab 6.5’ bed.

I should have mentioned that I’m looking for a rack that still allows me to use the folding cover underneath. KB Voodoo states that the cover would not be usable when the rack is in place. Just by looking at the Yakima Overhaul, I figure the cover must be open when the rack is installed.

 

The factory tonneau and how it works will limit your options. Retrax will work for KB Voodoo, I have a Diamondback cover and my @KB Voodoo rack goes on and off like a backpack based on use. I don’t open it when I’m loaded for off road, but my rack comes off in 5 minutes and it works great

 

Hey OP, take a look at adarac. They have one or two where the posts go straight up; Should fit your needs. Truck covers USA makes a rack that’d work for you also.

Edit: maybe not the truck covers USA rack, but the adarac for sure

Yes, I think so. I'd like to put the bed rack over the oem tri fold tonneau cover of possible.

 

The tonneau brackets add 2.5 inches to the height, so that should line up pretty close.

Which ones would work with the BakFlip MX4 (if any) and what height would I want if I want the rack at the same height as my roof so I can see out my rear windshield?

 

They are all compatible with the MX4.

Our tonneau brackets add 2.5” to the height of the rack, so the 18” rack would be perfect for you.
