So, I got this truck in 2017 with 60k on it (it was in storage 2018 - 19 while on Korea tour) it's on a rebuilt title after two previous front end collisions. (Both totaled ) only apparent damage left is minor frame damage, nothing super serious. Anyway, I have 82k on it now, and I've done new sparkplugs, air filter, Throttle body cleaning. I read about MAF cleaning, and some people mentioned upgrade fuel injectors. This truck has been my teacher for vehicle maintenance and I'm still trying to learn everything I can DIY. What do you guys think? (Also is a truck that spends its life in Southern AZ)

Sounds like you're off to good start. There are not a ton of "performance" upgrades for the 4.7L unless you spend a bunch of money. Here are the injectors you mentioned. Those would be a good next step.
The other other reasonable mod I would do to my own truck would be long or short tube headers. Maintenance wise I would change all the fluids and the lower ball joints for sure.

Lighten the load - don't carry any unnecessary weight, and run the lightest wheels & tires you can come up with. Don't install a suspension left / leveling kit.

@FirstGenVol it's funny you mentioned ball joints, mine need to be changed and I was gonna do them too, I have them on hand, just waiting for the auto hobby shop to open so I can do it in a more comfortable environment. I've heard about doing the headers, I'll definitely look into that ! I appreciate it!

I'm I'm running Cooper Tires with a hwy terrain rn, since that's been the highest recommended for the environment. I made the mistake of Michelin tires out here and DAMN do they get ate up in the desert. People mentioned the effect of lift kits and such, and it never caught my attention to do them, so that actually helps my point, lol

It sounds like you've already ordered them, but it's highly recommended that lower ball joints only be replaced with OEM parts. People have had really bad luck with aftermarket ball joints. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Buy a feather duster for your engine bay to keep all that desert dust away! A clean bay is a happy bay.

Improving wide open throttle V8 performance will include an expensive long tube header dual exhaust system with an x pipe. Talk to DAP tune and DirtyDeeds to find out what they recommend. There is no DAP tune available for your engine, but they have quite a bit of experience with exhaust work on the 4.7, an DirtyDeeds is all about performance gains via exhaust upgrades - that's what they do.

I did. And I let them sit too long, and one leaked when I looked at it. Thank God I didn't put it in the truck! OEM it is!

I definitely saw Dirty Deeds' website, I see why it's so popular! I'll definitely hit up DAP tune and see what they recommend, appreciate it!
