Toyota finally issued a TSB for the wind noise.

The parts are in and I have an appointment next Thursday. It is restricted to the 36k warranty, and I am at 35,880. I'll post an update after its done along with the estimated price of repair if not under warranty.

2nd gens are identical - mine takes a speed of 75+ with a crossish wind from say the 2oclock angle - like clockwork. You would think Yota would have this down by now.....

Thanks for posting this, but I'm a bit confused. I thought the wind noise issue was due to faulty window seals. Or is that an entirely different problem.

Fortunately my truck is still reasonably quiet, but it does seem to be getting noisier as time goes by.

Agreed. I think the title should be changed since the TSB is for the mirror whistle not the wind noise. Although I would agree the whistle is caused by the wind, these are two separate issues.

My 24 Limited is still pretty quiet on the passenger door, but man does my son's 24 SR5 sing loudly at speed. Has been getting worse since he bought it 15 months ago. Sounds like a door seal to me, so I think it's 2 different issues.

I have had the door seals replaced 4 times and the windows seals twice with no change. So no, those are not the cause of the noise. It literally sounds like I have all the windows cracked open when I drive. Really hoping this works. After all the issues with this truck and them fighting me every step of the way to get it fixed, I've had enough and have already threatened to drive it through their showroom if they can't make a $70k truck be worth $70k.

Rather just do this myself than have dealer do it. anyone happen to have a PDF of the TSB so I can see in color? @sudobash

Are the outer covers changed from prior or just replacements to remove any issues from removal?

That's a quick way to get banned and sent a Cease & Desist from Toyota. Just ask the person who can no longer be named here.

Also, the Outer Mirror Stay, RH, has the wrong part suffix.

And certainly would be able to provide in color, but not exactly the best decision to make.

What's the fix, or is it classified?

    Hey, you're my twin!
    2022 1794 here
Driver window runner was replaced 3 times for them to finally get it fixed about 80%, still have some wind noise and it disappears when I push down on the window runner when driving.

I gave up and just bought black color paper tape and taped it all up, and the wind noise is now about 95% fixed.

Oh... But my rear differential is whining on highway, even after full replacement.

Pretty nice trucks we've got for $70... 80k for me
    Huh?
