    Question for you Tundra experts:

My wife’s car has TSS 3.0, which includes Lane Tracing Assist (LTA): the vehicle effectively drives itself on the Interstate, centering the car in its lane with very little driver input while cruise control is engaged.

To the best of my research, the Tundra has TSS 2.5+. Does TSS 2.5+ have the same LTA functionality?

Thanks. I don’t think it’s the same, then. The wifey’s vehicle does a great job centering.

On the Tundra there's lane tracing and lane centering. Lane tracing will ping pong you from fog line to center line. Lane centering will keep you in the center. But...... my experience is the conditions have to be pretty good for it to work. Doesn't seem to work well driving into the sun or with oncoming headlights. Wet roads also seem to make a difference. The only time I use it is on long road trips when I want to relax a little on the freeway. Definitely does not work as well as Ford Blue Cruise or GM Super Cruise but it also doesn't cost you a monthly subscription.

we got shafted with the older TSS system for some reason, we did not get 3.0, but the tundra was second only to one Lexus model with the updated new gen infotainment system at launch time

can’t win them all I guess

my guess is the 26 refresh gets TSS 3.0

Had a RAV4 with TSS 2.5, and now a Lexus 350H with TSS 3.0. My '24 Limited with TSS 2.5 seems to be better than the RAV was, but maybe just because it's bigger and heavier.

My 2018 RAV4 feels like hardcore ping pong with a side of pickle-ball. Hate the thing and worst ever AWD and premium entertainment center. Can’t even call the POS a stereo

That’s my thinking too especially after I fell asleep in my BMW while it was driving itself. I’m just glad I was going slow

What I don't understand, well in a way I do, it's called greed, anyways. The Corolla got 3.0 and even before that, my 2020 Lexus NX300 drove pretty much by itself. Seems Toyota/Lexus have the tech but refuse to put it out evenly. I still can't believe that 3.0 did come to the 3rd gen since it was available. Maybe they will take a play out of Apples play book and when they do put it, they will act like it's the best thing since sliced bread. Plus they will add a price hike for that.

    Man…glad you are ok.

My son is a nervous wreck (and usually always with me) so I’ve gotten used to driving without the assistance on long trips.
