2011 Tundra 5.7 Crewmax Gas Base Model. I was repairing the Throttle Body Wiring and when I removed some of Red and Block wiring covering for the Green and Red wires to the Throttle Body, I saw an exposed (seemingly) extra wire. Has anybody see this? Any thoughts? I looked at the wiring diagram and saw Brown wire next to it. It has continuity to ground and minimal voltage with key on. I have the 6 wires that go to the throttle body. This one is extra.

Look at your schemo, see the *1 loop. This low voltage stuff has a shield wire to minimize electrical interference. That lose wire used to be an external jacket wrapped over all the wires to shield them from EMI. It likely did connect to another ground at the MAF but perhaps not based on schemo.

FWIW- if those are solder joints under the shrink tube, cut the shrink and clean the daylights out of the wire and inspect it well. This is a critical engine input, bad information/decaying connections will cause you much grief.

Any clue why it was cut off?
