Is it possible to replace driver and front passenger door glasses on 2024 tundra platinum with acoustic ones as the ones on the capstone? Capstone has acoustic windshield and side glasses but the platinum has only the windshield and would like to have acoustic side glasses as well

Would love to hear more about this if you decide to make this upgrade...

Just called a bodyshop and they said they can do it 300$ per each door plus taxes. Hopefully it is going to make a difference on wind noise and not just a waste of money

When in my Buddy's tundra I can hear a considerable difference vs mine.

Does that include the glass or just labor?

They were going to remove the glasses anyway to repair doors from a collision, insurance paying for repairs so they are just charging me just for the glass

Most likely just labor. Glands is expensive. nvm, corrected. Sorry.

OP, how do you know glass makes the difference, vs some other part fit and finish? Noise may resonate through the frame if it has some sort of turbulence in between panels or other accessories, like mirrors. If there is crosswind, you'll likely hear even more wind chatter in between materials.

How about all of the crappy door and window seals? That's usually the source of all the wind noise

I have a Capstone and always marvel at how quiet it is inside. No wind noise whatsoever and when the windows are closed you can barely hear traffic. Not sure if the acoustic side glass have anything to do with it, but I feel for you folks who have noisy trucks. This Tundra is without a doubt the quietest truck I've ever owned. Been thinking of turning the fake engine noise off to further add to the peacefulness inside.

I have a 24 platinum and I also turned off the enhanced engine noise... it's very quiet inside the cabin. It helps you hear the little creaks and cracks from the cheap plastic center console. Next on my list is to do something about that.

Oh man that fake engine noise would be horrible in an otherwise quiet cab. That should have been modification #1
