    Hey all!

Quick question - I needed up replace my battery in my 08 Tundra 5.7l. I went online at Advanced Auto, put in my vehicle specs, found the battery it said "fit my vehicle". I purchased this battery which was a Duralast Gold 24F 750 CCA. I didn't put the battery in right away because I was in the middle of a move and didn't remember where my tools were at the time. I recently changed that battery and the next morning the battery appeared to be dead. Did I get too small of a battery? I've read that I may need to bump up to 27F and 800-850 CCA. What's your thoughts? TIA

    Alot of them
The 24F is fine. I would take it to Advanced and have them test it.

Sounds like maybe a bad battery, I put a new Interstate same specs last fall and works fine. A dead battery isn't going to start anything;)

Ok! That's what I was thinking (dead battery) but I've only had this truck for about 10 months and just wasn't sure. Really appreciate it guys, I'll take it back to advanced auto and get the test done and either way they should replace it for me. Thanks!

27F is standard on the cold weather package... 24F is on everything else.

You're fine with either, especially since in my searching 27F is extremely hard to find and when you do find one it's only available in the lower grade batteries so it ends up having the same CCA as a nicer 24Fs.

my truck originally came with a 27F, but the previous owner put a 24F in it... it's fine.

either the battery you bought was bad , or you have a parasitic draw issue meaning something is drawing power while the trucks off. if the battery is dying while the truck is running your alternator is going bad. (or in some rare cases you have to many accessories needed more power than alt out put)
