I have a two part question regarding the bedrug offered by Toyota:

    1. Is this the same part as offered by Bedrug.com?

    2. The attachment states, "Without Bed Rails." Can I still install the Toyota rug with my existing rail system either by attaching rails over the rug or cutting around the rails?

Happy Father's Day to all Dad's!

I did without cutting. I installed it under the rails and just ran the bolts back through the bed rug. The only issue will come if you need to adjust how the Bed Rug sits against the walls; make sure you position the rug properly first, center out.

Thank you for the rapid response Saltyhero13! Would you happen to know if it's the same product from bedrug.com? Significant price difference. If it's a different product, do you think it's just as good as that offered by bedrug.com?

Part numbers will be different if you've got a long bed. My part number was BRY07SBK ordered straight from Bed Rug; not sure what the Toyota part number would be.

Thanks, Toyota part number is PT939-34201. I did a lot of searching on the web, but was unable to confirm if the two bed rugs were identical or different. The price difference would indicate two different products, but I can not verify that.

Which two part numbers? That part is for the 6'5" bed. It says without rails but I don't think that matters since you can poke holes in the rug to run bolts ( you may need slightly longer bolt but I don't recall).

The "PT939-34201" is suspended according to the pic in your post. "PT93934201" is the new number for the same product. If the part with the dash in the middle is cheaper is it probably just someone turning over their inventory.

@Roman is the parts guy I believe. He can probably get you sorted if you want the part for a bed with rails (I don't think it matters too much).

I'm aware that the bed liner from Bedrug can be installed with the Tundra rail system, but I was told by my local Toyota parts department that the OEM was to be installed without the rails. I find this strange for two reasons: a. the attachment shows the cleats for the rail system, and b. they look identical.

Reading through some of the comments on Amazon some people cut the rug to accommodate the rail. Call Bed Rug, they can probably answer your question.

No need to call Bedrug because I know that I can use their product for the rail system. It's the liner from Toyota that is in question especially when the Toyota parts department said no rail install. I might just pay up for the one from Bedrug because I know it will work. Thanks for your input.

Thank you very much for verifying this! I didn't want to order from Toyota and find out that it wouldn't install correctly as stated by their parts department resulting in a return with significant restocking fee.

I really appreciate you taking the time to verify the two are the same, saves me a little $

    Welcome to the forum @Sportsrich

If you order from Bedrug you'll have more options.
You can also find Bedrug products on Amazon.

Entire bed lined (had in my 2005 DC), separate mats for bed and tailgate (have in my 2014 DC), integrated bed and tailgate mat (all one piece), and their new Impact bed mat that looks to be flatter than carpet but cushioned.

    All BedRug Products | Bedrug

Separate mats are easier to clean out.
Most important thing is to have it on the floor and tailgate, not so much on the sides..
I bought the full for my 2005 because they didn't offer the bed and tailgate mats at that time..

My 2005, no spray-in bed liner..

Since it is Father's Day this is my daughter and I installing the full rug on my 2005.
    She is now 28..

I love the picture of you and your daughter putting in the bedrug years ago, nice you have that photo saved.

I was initially going to go with a separate bed mat and tailgate mat for the reasons you stated; in addition, to the issue stated by some that a one piece XLT is usually wet at the point where the bed mat and tail mat join due to leakage around the tail gate even with a tailgate seal placed in . Also, saving some $ by not going with the side carpeting.

Then I changed my mind again and just order the full rug lol.

I have a Leer topper; it seems a fully lined bed will really complement the lined topper.

Thank you for you input and great photos!

    No problem.
I can certainly see having the full rug if you have a topper, that makes sense.
Never had much of an issue with one piece being wet with my full rug and a Retrax bed cover.

I tried the tailgate seal on my 2014 and it was an epic fail.
I really don't think it helped that much before it fell apart..
It really didn't get that wet in the first place.
I pulled it off yet I still have remnants of it back there..

Hopefully, you'll have better luck with it if you try it.

I bought the Extang Maxseal Truck Bed Tailgate seal; you think it will eventually break apart like yours did? I hope to reduce dust and moisture; the gap is huge. So, if I understand correctly, you're not using any tailgate seal any more, interesting?

It's the same part number. The dash doesn't make a difference. I always type part numbers in without the dash. It just looks nicer with a dash in text. :)

About $360, which isn't much off of retail. I'm assuming Toyota doesn't get a good enough discount with BedRug. Also, I'm not sure I would want to try shipping one of those. That box, if it even comes in one from Toyota, has to be gigantic. You'd be much better off ordering locally.

Just wanted to post an update for any new readers:

I called Toyota parts where I placed my order for the bed rug. They stated it's on back order and coming directly from Bedrug.com. I"m a little surprised I was able to get it for the price listed above considering it's listed at Bedrug.com for $453. Toyota parts department is going to call Bedrug for ETA tomorrow morning; hopefully, no glitches i.e. wrong part number, etc.

Any updates on budrugs on a +22? Can anyone chime in on if the bedrug needs to have rails removed and reinstalled over the bedrug? TIA

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but as of yet I don't think they offer the full Bedrug for '22+ models, only the bottom mat.

    Love my full Bedrug.
