Anyone that filed for buyback get a contact number for that department? Brand Engagement doesn't seem to be able to do much of anything. Been waiting to hear back on the buyback since early September, and now my truck is heading back into the shop again. This time engine started shaking on the highway and got the reduced engine power message and a bunch of malfunction alerts. Luckily made out home after letting it sit a while and restarting.

Tell them you are about to file a lemon law claim and maybe they will move faster.

This truck has already spent 3 combined months in the shop since February and I'm sick of it going in every other month for something.

I would get an attorney involved to send a demand letter. I know several folks that had to do so to get Toyota to do anything (not Tundra but Taco issues). They have no requirement to volunteer to give you a buy back so they are in non motivation status. They will try to make you drag it in for repair until you just give up or trade it

Make sure you have documentation for all issues and every contact or contact attempt with them.

Brand Engagement asked if I wanted a buyback and filed for one with the department that handles that back in September. They said it would take 45 days to hear back. Brand Engagement does not handle the buyback but I have not been able to get in touch with the department that does. They do not return my emails and that is the only contact they provided in their buyback claim letter. Just wondering if anyone has any contacts for that department. At this point I realize it's going to take a lawyer to get this resolved.

Whose asking legal advise? I was asking if anyone knows how to get in touch with the buyback department directly. They don't respond to the email address they gave me.

In my case they started responding as soon as i engaged a KY DA (after 6 month). Then they sand me a buy back authorization and started dragging their feet again and ignored even DA's requests. But then on their letter i had their phone number which helped a little, but not much. They are very well trained in ignoring little sleazy cockroaches - tundra owners.

I have a phone number for Cincinnati Toyota branch. They mange KY, IL, MO and something else i'm not sure which states.

PS. I regret not engaging a lemon Law Attorney, they are free and as i heard from many ppl very effective.
Toyota has a tactic to wait as long as possible as my dealer's service manager told me, most ppl either give up and live with it if they can, or trade the car in and buy a ford.

It took me 9.5 month even with DA help and things started really moving only when i found a personal phone number of the Cincinnati Toyota dispute resolution manager

Thanks for the info JohnF. Mine is also being handled by the Cincinnati office so I guess I know what I've got in store. I have been very close to driving it to the Ford dealer like you said. It's funny you mentioned that.
