My 1794 came with these rails that I had to remove to install my folding hard bed cover. Anyone figure out a solution to have both?

    Who made your bed cover?
On some of them they ask if you have the bed rails or not when you order..

Undercover has mounts that attach to the rails..

If you look at Gator's website, if I found the right cover, you'll see it asks if you have a deck rail system or not.

2020 Toyota Tundra Gator EFX Hard Fold Tonneau Cover | Gator Covers

Contact them and ask if there are different clamps for that cover if you have the deck rails.
If so, they will either send you some or maybe you can purchase them.

I'm thinking about adding a deck rail to my 2014 DC.
Undercover will send me the deck rail clamps for my Flex for $42..

No need to remove or move the OEM bedrails with the Extang 2.0. One of the reasons I bought it.

I spent a lot of time sorting through all the different hard bed covers. The conclusion I came to is that there is not one out there that's perfect. They all kind of work and they all kind of suck.

I break the hard covers down into two categories... 1) those that sit flush with your bed and 2) those that sit on top of your bed.

I wanted flush because theft was my primary concern and I thought a flush cover would be a bit more difficult to get a crow bar underneath. Having a flush model now and using it... yeah, it might slow them down a bit but not much. With a flush cover, you will have to drop the factory bed rail system. Most of the hard cover models (they're all basically built by the same company) that sit flush include kits that allow you to drop the rails down a bit. And a note on that... the cargo divider will no longer work, not enough room. I for the life of me can't figure out why they didn't integrate this system with the OEM bed rail. It's difficult to describe but if you understand how those hard covers work and the bed rail, it seems like it could be done quite easily.

If you buy a model that sits on top of the bed, like the Extang 2.0, then you won't have to drop the rails. I do think these are easier to break into however.

Interesting. Is yours the "Low Profile Hard Tri-Fold"? Do the brackets that hold the cover rails in pace, just slide into the Toyota OEM rail? That's what the pics on their website look like and that's exactly what I was looking for.

Yes, that's what I have and they do. . It doesn't really leave enough room for the tie down cleats on the side though, just FYI.. but happy with the cover and one of the cheaper ones I looked at.

Damn. That's exactly what I was looking for. Not sure how I missed it, I definitely looked at Rough Country.

I ended up going with the BAK Flip MX4. And the primary reason for that is when I spoke with them, on several occasions, I was told each time that they had just come out with new brackets that integrate with the Toyota rail system for that model, just like your does. That was not true.

I would have sent the cover back but I needed it for a cross country trip. They did give me some money back though after I complained relentlessly.

I agree with most of what you wrote and it's a good analysis. I disagree with your final comment about the Extang Solidfold 2.0 being easier to break into however. Most, if not all, of the flush mount covers (ie not Extang) are opened using a pull-wire under the cover that retracts latches on both sides where the cover meets the rail. The Extang uses a spring loaded handle latch system that can only be released after unlocking and opening the tail gate. The flush mount covers can be snagged by a thief by pushing a bent coat hanger under the back of the cover, catching the trip wire and pulling on it. It was another reason I chose Extang.

I bought an OEM tri fold and had it dealer installed. They lowered the cargo track rails.
