Looks great! Think I'm going to have to do this. What brand light did you go with?

@don1 I got these same mirrors on a 2019 sr5. Mines keep giving me blind spot error. Did you have this issue? I even swapped pin 9 and 18 and no luck. Thanks.

Sounds like the LED is making some interference known to happen with with some LED's

@Taco-Spike Thanks. I was wondering if it could be the LED. Is there a way to add something to correct this?

VLED Cargo Lights - Key Fob Issue | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

Above thread was an issue some people were having with LED's creating interference. Some people have been placing EMI tape to assist in eliminating the issue. I guess you could pop the light back in, remove the mirror lens and cover the top of the puddle light in the tape?

OR try something different all together? Seen these on Youtube and people like them and a lot of light. Not sure if they will create the same / similar issue?

I use the VLED universal puddle pods in both my trucks, but I do not have BSM on either truck so not sure.

"I even swapped pin 9 and 18 and no luck" what do you mean? remind me about pin 9 and pin 18. Why would LED interference cause blind spot error?

@don1 apologies the picture showing the wires the brownish wire to the far right was located where the blue wire on right was before I swapped them around. If that makes sense.

Where did you get the mirror?
Did you get the error message before or after swapping pin 9 and pin 18? Did you reset power to the car after the pins swap? the ECU senses the DC current draw from light in the mirror in normal operation assuming the wiring is correct. Pin 9 and pin 8 provide DC power and DC return to the ECU and the light in the mirror is the load. Error message display when there is no load when the ECU queries for the load status

@don1 So does the puddle light have to be connected also in order for the blindspot to operate normal? Because I currently do not have it connected yet cause I was trying to work this issue out first.

I did the power fold mod and everything else works, but I've yet to connect the puddle lights.

Looks like you already swapped pin9 and pin 18 from the picture which is correct(if not you will get another warning message). And yellow and green are the folding mirror power. The blue wire is the puddle light power which is only on momentary. Where did hook up the blue wire?

@don1 I didn't connect the blue wire yet. I am going to get some vles footwell lights and connect it to that. As of right now the blue wire (puddle light) is not connected to anything yet.
