Hi all - really looking into buying a new Tundra TRD pro. Coming from a Tacoma, I love the power, comfort, and feel of the Tundra. Tacoma has done everything I needed, so do I need the extra size and power? No. Do I like it? Absolutely.

My only real concern is maneuverability in the city. For someone who lives and works in a city - how much would weekday city life suck in a Tundra vs Tacoma?

Parking gets tight but your main concern would be other drivers not caring.
You really should look into getting the widest slider/steps as possible.

I have seen many trucks driving around the city. Parking may be a little tight in the Tundra. Also, gas mileage may be close to single digits. I live in the suburbs with many traffic lights. If I do no highway driving, I get 10-11 mpg in my DCLB 5.7L.

Parallel parking can be a challenge to find a spot big enough as people generally are parked pretty close in the bigger cities. I did spend a weekend in Chicago with a 3/4 duramax I used to own and it was manageable. Driveability and getting around otherwise was not an issue.

Yeah I have already gotten comfortable with the gas numbers. Not like the Tacoma was great to begin with.

Yeah, parallel parking, clearance issues, tight garages. Should be plenty of fun challenges.

Its not easy. I was in LA a few weeks ago and parking there was a nightmare in the Tundra. I now take my 4runner. Can it be done? Of course, but its not easy.

LA's not bad, just gotta park in one of the pay parking lots and walk/uber around once you're in downtown. Little tricks I've found for when I'm not in downtown is to try to find a parking spot next to a shopping cart corral since you can park right next to it and have more space on the drivers side to avoid careless dings, or next to the crosshatch of a handicap spot for the same reason. Otherwise I'm just parking far back in a parking lot.

According to recent guidelines from the American Urological Association (AUA), a testosterone level for Tacoma men is 275 nanograms per deciliter.
Tundra men are at a level of 300 ng/dL and above.

    I hope this helps...
