Ive been looking to buy a newer used Tundra. I started looking at Chevy Denali. I then started searching for the 1794’s. To my surprise a Carvana truck pulls up and my wife purchased a 2016 Tundra XPS-X 4x4. I never knew they had this package. Ive never seen this package. Does anyone know how many were made? I feel like I got my Denali of the Tundras

Sounds like one of the Southeast or Gulf States specific packages. That's an awesome surprise from the wife!

I have a 2012 XSP-X and its the race truck version of the Tundras. They're used in Daytona Races and they're faster. My truck accelerate with just a slight touch. If you press on to the gas pedals like a regular truck it will shoot you up making you brake. My friend's TRD Sport 4x4 is slower than mines. Only drawback is mine is only RWD

My wife was lucky to find a 4x4. She know nothing about tundras and somehow found this one off Carvana. I was needing 4x4 to pull my boat out of some of the steep boat ramps here in tx. My rwd did fine but I had to stand on the rear bumper for extra weight while my wife pulled us out.

I hear ya'. In my lifetime I've gotten a real kick out of watching guys in 2WD trucks try to retrieve boats from the water. It's been a real joy. :D Until the day comes that one of them doesn't make it and a dive team gets called. Seen that a few times also.

They are pretty common around here in North and South Carolina…..I believe it may be a Southeast package as others have said.

Mine is a '17 XSP that I bought after my former boss traded it.....pretty sure it was a regional thing since it came from the dealer with a wheel package, some badges, and a grill change. And yes, mine will also pass everything but a gas station.

I watched a YouTube video on the XPSX it went over all the custom features. I dont see this model on the parts catalog. It is no doubt the nicest truck I’ve owned. I just plan on leveling it out and then leave it. And yes, I’m lucky to have the kind of wife that rewards me for being a good hubby and she keeps me in line.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
XSP-X, XSP, and XP: all SE Toyota dealer packages. Typically in TN, NC, SC, GA and FL and includes, wheels, fender flares, side steps, decals/badges. Some came with carbon fiber decal/ overlays on interior parts.

Similarly, the TSS off-roads are Gulf state Toyota dealer packages. Typically seen in TX, LA, MS and AL and includes, 20 in torque wheels, side steps, and decals/badges…no flares or interior upgrades…at least that I’ve ever heard of.

If you think it’s a ‘Denali’ Tundra now, just explore the mod pages….

The 1794 IS the Denali of Tundras. From what I know of the XSP packages, they are dealer add-on packages. Not that that is a bad thing, but it’s not the same. My 1794 OffRoad is easily nicer than the Denali in the same model year. Of course, newer vehicles are nicer, but that’s another thing entirely.

I stand corrected. Thanks for all the info. The 1794 is no doubt nicer than a Denali. I would have been happy with any model tundra my wife would have bought me. I see 1794’s and yes I would be happy with that model too. Any mods on your 1794?

Only the ones that came on the truck when I bought it used. Bak-flip bed cover, bed rug (that I removed), and a pair of Swing case bed boxes. So not really any mods. Wanted to lift it and put larger tires on it, but life has gotten in the way so far.
