No clue what you are talking about. But there are very few things that will get me into Seattle.

Aren’t you headed my way today? Hope your drive was better than mine. 4.25hrs to drive ~110 milesIMG_5185.jpg

In @T-Rex266 's defense, some of those stuffed animals are so nice and soft, supple, and cute.

Your peeps held a union meeting to vote on a walk out, pretty much filled up T-Mobile Park.

We were going to head to Cabela's tonight to break up the 5+ hour drive but we're just going to leave first thing in the morning.

Ah, that’s the IAM…hourly machinists. I am SPEEA…The engineers. My contract is up next year. We’ll watch the IAM get a good raise and then cower when it is our turn.

Good call on just waiting…traffic is a zoo

I had a history teacher w/some serious PTSD or was just straight skitzo... We'd come into class every once in while, and he'd be hiding in the closet and then jumped out all freaked out and shit. (It wasn't like a normal walk-in closet in the corner of the room or something. It was a little stand alone closet that was barely tall enough for a person and just deep enough to fit a freakin' hanger inside w/o the door smashing it. So, dude was definitely cramped and smooshed in there). This happened a few times, then one afternoon after school was out we saw him low crawlin' and duckin' around vehicles as he made his way to his car... Fortunately, several adults watched this play out... we never saw him again.

In general, he was a nice guy. I hope he got some help and whatever was going on didn't destroy him....

So, I may have missed it; but, in case you haven't posted anything... How much are you enjoying towing w/the new rig instead of the Tundra???

It's okay to talk about it here... maybe even brag a little about how much nicer it is to pull w/a rig that was meant to do that kind of work

    Ah, gotcha.

Yeah, we'll be negotiating soon for our new contract next year too. I'm hearing good rumors of 20% over 3 years for the crafts but we shall see..

The normal zoo then eh? I'm going to try and time hitting Hwy 18/ I-5 mid morning. After the morning rush, in theory.

If I am being fair, we are already very well paid. I’d like to get our pension back or at least retiree healthcare. Maybe a bit more vacation per year. Both should help us keep more mid-career people. We shall see

Honestly it is heaven. I didn’t realize just how exhausting towing with the Tundra was until I got this truck. Apples to oranges comparison, but the limits that Toyota sets are true limits.

The creature comforts are much better in the Chevy too. Although, those will probably be the things that break first. And I do really miss the TRD suspension when I am driving unloaded.

Same here, but we try and stay towards the top end of similar utilities.
You lost your pension? That's some BS

Retiree healthcare has been huge for us... this is where my efforts would be

Sorry about the pension; it's bullshit they can pull that shit out from you (us) during your career... Once it's agreed on, those working under it should get grandfathered in. Too many financial decisions are made w/expectations of it being there

When the wife retires in 9 years, we’re hoping we retain the free and full health insurance plan along with her pension. It’s been so nice. We would be in debt between our daughter and I always injuring something if it weren’t for this insurance

    The Rub being -
I trust she is working at a company that can continue to fund a pension & healthcare...both of which are astronomically burdensome costs to any financially viable business. (See the big 3 automakers)

and I think America, in general, has grown VERY tired of bailing out pensions.
