Join us for “Tundras to Sedona: Parker Edition” February, 2024 in Parker, Arizona! There will not be a Sedona event in 2024, but we will go back to Sedona in 2025

    DATE: February 27 - March 3, 2024
    LOCATION: Shea Road Spectator Area

    https://maps.app.goo.gl/tiPT3BrxJ6sEAiBYA?g_st=ic
    (34.12411, -114.15627)

We’ve tossed the idea around for a few years - exploring different parts of the country, and next year will be our first “Special Edition”.

This event will replace the normal Sedona event that usually takes place in late April. The Parker Edition in February is not “in addition” to the April event in Sedona, but replaces it for 2024.

We will return to Sedona in 2025, and may alternate years in the future, with unique destinations every other year. Moab Edition? San Antonio Edition? Ouray Edition?

    Where else should we explore?

Utah would be my preference. I'd make the drive from Tennessee.

I have been wheeling in Utah, New Mexico and Colorado a lot the last two years.

I am not sure I want to be that close to that country over there… you know Cali

What's there to do in Parker, besides get a sunburn and alcohol poisoning on a boat? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Moab is amazing, but there’s also so many other great parts of Utah. Grand Staircase, Sand Hollow, Swimg Arm…

I’ll apply the name change shortly.

That was my first question when it was originally proposed.

Run the Parker 425 race course, Desert Bar, old mining trails and abandoned mines, alcohol poisoning, river activities, Lake Havasu isn’t too far, Swansea ghost town, alcohol poisoning, Alamo Lake.

Check the build link in my signature.
couple hundred miles closer for me...and timing might just work out. Getting through the mountains on my way south could be fun that time of year.

This sounds pretty sweet to me, since we just got back from Sedona and it’s not crazy far from me. But seems like the Az folks aren’t thrilled. They know something I don’t.

So basically not a god damn thing for us non off-roading 2wd travel trailer towing old fucks to do other than sit in a desert just like the one I live in but 5 hours away.

Sounds like a stupid idea...... But, I'll consider it.

Between this and HU post, I feel like you’re in a Snickers commercial but instead of a Snickers you need 12 Miller Lites.

Everyone just loves Sedona. We have lots of cool places in Arizona, but Sedona is hard to beat.
Just changing it up to keep the spirit of what started T2S alive - adventure in ways and places people didn’t think of for their Tundras before.
