My shifter cable snapped where it connects to the transmission. I was off grid camping at the time… anyway, I can’t get this part anywhere. New ones are on back order and can’t find a junk yard with one. Any ideas? Thanks

Post a pic! I think I know what you're talking about, but want to verify. There might be a junkyard willing to pull that part for you, and ship it.

Dirt Deeds injectors, Addco rear sway, AEM dry flow air filter, last ever set of Stan's Try-Y headers, Borla full custom exhaust, front level, wheel spacers, and lots of electronics.
Yotas are hard to find in junk yards. They usually get stripped pretty quick as soon as they hit thr ground.

That being said if you can stand to wait a couple days there are Toyota specific junk yards that can ship parts to you.

I've had good luck with Yota Yard. They shipped a full wood grain Limited interior trim set to me for my old 4Runner. Radio surround, shifter console, and switch plates. Arrived quick and in great shape.

Would be curious to see the cable. Wondering if there's a solid MacGuyver solution to employ here.

There is a photo of the break. I currently have zip ties on it and that holds for a while. Was thinking about a tiny weld there or binding it with wire. Junk yards turned up empty in Indianapolis. Thanks for your advice.

For your '06 DoubleCab? Shows as part number 33820-0C040. And shows the same part was used on all 2UZ/5-spd equipped Tundras (RC, AC, and DC) and 2UZ/5spd equipped Sequoias from 08/2004 thru the end of production on both. Might help in expanding your search to include junked Sequoias as well, if you haven't.

Wonder how different the older cable is for the 2UZ and 4-speed.... Perhaps it could be made to work until you can get a new one?

I haven’t been looking for sequoias but I will when the junk yards open Monday and the yota yard above opens. Big help. Thanks!

Thanks for all the info… finally found the part at car-part.com. It’s a data base of junk yards. Should be back on the road this week!
