HI ALL ! Has anybody put under dash foot well led lights on their 2022 tundra? I saw mods for older models but was wondering where to tie in wires to get to work with doors and dome lights . Thanks for all replies! smileytn1

I did. I purchased the factory LED lights (they snap right into place and cost about $17 each) and then fashioned a harness to connect them to the center console light. This is the blue light that shines down right over where the factory phone charger is (or would be if you don't have one). Pretty easy, took about 1-2 hours.

Can you provide the part number for the factory LED lights?

I am also interested in doing this project. Part numbers would be great.

Wouldn’t you think the harness with the power line we need for the factory lights is passing right by these snap in points already? Maybe someone can share the colors of both wires going to the footwell lights ?

You’ll need two. No harness near there that I can find. Not on an SR5. I made my own connectors by depinning an old harness and pulling out the female pins. I covered them with heat shrink and slid them over the pins on the LEDs. You can’t tell what the correct polarity is on the LEDs so just swap the wires until they light. Remember, you’re tying into the interior lights so that circuit is only powered when the interior lights are on.

You're looking for Connector I61 plugged into the combination switch assembly. (The light is on the bottom of that assembly). You need pins 9 (green) for power and 16 (lavender) for ground.

OR… if you’re not comfortable making your own connectors you could order two of these instead…

    LAMP ASSY, INTERIOR ILLUMINATION, NO.1
    Part Number: 81080-0C050

These lights have the connectors and a short harness included. They normally go in the doors and provide light to the door pockets. These are like $27 each from local dealer. So $10 more for each LED but it includes a harness that you can splice into. They will fit the attachment points in the footwells.

Has anyone confirmed if the harness is there in a limited?

OP had an SR5, I ordered light two of the leds with the harness just now. I will probably take a peak under there to see if the plug is there already later.

I have a Limited as well and am not sure where they are mounted. Anyone have a pic of where the footwell lights are actually? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for these!! Where did you get these diagrams? I’d love to have access to the diagrams for the whole truck.

I've done VLEDs footwell lighting and OEM ambient lighting on my Limited. Not prewired so I tapped dome and illumination circuit.
Pics are on my build thread.

Thanks for all the pics. I like those for the rear footwells too.
I think I'll just do the whole thing custom since none of the oem harness is in nearby
but I'll tie into the dome light circuit to work in conjunction with all the rest.

Did you add a light to the center console? Not sure if just how it shows up on camera, but it looks a lot brighter than what comes stock.

No, that center light was already there. None of these lights are as bright as these pics suggest. I took the pictures with my iPhone and they are all overexposed. These lights are all quite subtle. Much more so than these pics suggest.

All OEM lights for what I did… I can pull the parts list together when I get home…I made my own cables. Not too hard. The parts…mostly fit my SR5 - there is a small amount of dremeling involved but no where you would ever see it, even if you removed the lights…

I’ve yet to install it. I will go with Rat Panadas. According to the reviews it’s hit or miss with the adhesive.
