For the longest time I have been looking for an under the front seat storage box for my 2019 Toyota Tundra. I have the base SR model, bench front, so all the center console safes out there were not an option. Yes, I know there is one for my model that goes in the storage area under the middle seat but that one is expensive and I’m cheap. I found the cheapest box I could find on Amazon and it was by BesTop (sometimes cheaper on their website), Model 4264101, and made it work for my truck.

If you are handy, this is an easy DIY. I didn't take pictures while I was building it so the pictures below are from when I made a quick video describing my build.

Besides the storage box, you will need a min 18"x3" piece of flat steel, cardboard, and the minimal tools to cut the steel and drill holes for bolts and screws. And 9/16s socket & wrench.

I won't go into extreme detail but here are the cliffsnotes:
Made a pattern out of piece of cardboard, traced onto the steel and cut it out with a 4” grinder with a cut wheel on it. Even if you have a jig saw with bi-metal blade on there you can make this bracket. Use the bracket that comes with the storage box as a guide to drill out holes for mounting it to the box with the provided screws. Make sure you drill out the third hole to provide space for the screw head on the bottom of the box so you have a nice tight fit. Put a little bend on the bracket to match the slope of the truck floor, painted it black and done.

Let me know how yours turn out!!!!
